  Excelente hotel!! La ubicación junto al mar es ideal!!! La atención del personal fue inmejorable, J Mar, Vaden, Luz, Elba todos se portaron genial!!! Muchas gracias por todas las atenciones!!! El lugar es recomendable 100%!!!! Vamos a volver!!!

  Solo es una buena localidad...el resto es triste

  Me parece que este lugar tomo de excusa el huracán para simplemente no hacer nada. Lo bueno, la playa y que pude hacer late check out. Aunque las sillas son un desastre y la entrada a la playa descuidada. Pero...las casitas necesitan de algo mas que cariño, aunque las personas de limpieza trataron, esto requiere mantenimiento inmediato. La piscina tiene losetas rotas y unas sillas medias funky. No tiene restaurantes ni donde comprar bebidas. Si esperabas un Crusian Confusion sentado viendo la hermosa vista del mar, BORRADO.

  Cheney Bay, Don't Stay!

  I've been a timeshare owner since 1991 and this is the worst resort that I have ever stayed at. The resort has potential, it just need more time and money spent to bring it up to a level where people feel comfortable staying there. A cockroach was laying in the middle of the floor, dirty dishes in the oven, broken blinds, inoperable lights...one person was running the entire resort which is crazy! She tried her best to keep up but it is too much for her.

  This facility is run down and needs a full overhaul.

  The cottage we stayed in had roaches and ants. The bedding was not washed. The tiles in the bathroom was full of scum and the faucets were not connected properly. The plunger and the toilet bowl brush were stored in plastic bags. The towels were old with stains on them. The jetted tub had rust around the port holes. There was mold on the beams in the ceiling in the front room. The air was damp and the pages in our book dampened. The furniture was old and worn and needed steam cleaning or replacement. The pool was under construction but there was nothing preventing someone from falling into the empty hole which is a huge safety hazard. The pots and pans were old and had food stains on them and the cutting board had old food in the grooves. The dishwashing liquid was watered down and the cleaning sponge was old and had been used. The outlet was open in the bedroom with no face plate. The closet door was missing so in order to have light, you had to manually screw the light bulb in and out. One of the chairs on the porch had a broken leg so only one of us could sit down. This resort is not recommended at this time. Maybe if they do a complete overhaul in the near future it can be reconsidered but not now. Staying there was like camping indoors.

  Heads Up - False info on website

  We booked this via timeshare - which indicated the exact same information as is listed on the "official" website for Chenay Bay Resort. However, upon arrival we learned the website has not been updated for years. Although the location is quiet and the beach is fine - the resort does not have a working pool. The restaurant burnt down a few years ago (so I was told). The resort does not have kayaks, paddleboards, or even beach chairs. And the rooms are quite dated. So, be aware that the pictures and statements on the website are innaccurate. This place has so much potential - it would be great to see it under ownership that leads it to reaching that potential.
