    Surprisingly nice

From the outside this looks a bit faceless and ordinary. The name also I found off-putting, as in the States this tends to mean a place with screaming children and no bar. Thankfully this is different. Whilst it is a big concrete lump, the rooms are OK, if a bit spartan. Ours even had a small kitchen area. There was a balcony with a great view of the stunning valley, right up to the ski resort of Super Lioran. The restaurant gave us some delicious food. We both had duck with wild mushrooms, and it was impressive - especially at the price. They do a decent breakfast as well. When we stayed, there was a tour group there, and a local dance troupe came in to entertain them. We were also invited to watch, and even dragged up to take part at the end. Normally I would hate that sort of thing, but this was done with such charm that I could not help but enjoy myself. So for the price, the atmosphere, the cuisine and the glorious setting, I would recommend the family hotel

    Not appealing

We just came back from our summer vacation in France where we spent 8 days in Vic-Sur-Cere. Rooms : Clean and spacious enough for 4 of us. 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The beds were comfortable and we slept very well throughout our stay. Facilities : The pools are very clean, nice whirlpool, tennis court and the area is very spacious. Everyone is able #to find his/her own space to do something, be it sunbathing by the pool, playing petanque, tennis, badminton, volleyball or just sitting in the garden enjoying his/her favourite book. Great place for families with kids. Hotel : Clean but food is really disappointing. The hotel is rated 2 stars so I guess the food is really a 2 star standard. Nothing special nor tasty, not even the local specialities from the hotel's kitchen and portion is very small. We were surprised that the drinks during dinner were charged to the room without the details of the prices of the consumption. So we asked and kept tabs of each day's consumptions at the hotel to ensure we're not overcharged but they still tried and were overcharged by Euro18. When questioned, they just modified the bill without second thoughts. That left us really wonder!!!! Staff in general is friendly but the lady of the hotel is not very friendly. Activities : The hotel organised daily activities for the hotel guests, ranging from city trips to walks and sports activities in the hotel itself to dance and karaoke evenings for the young and old. We love the area very much as there are alot of beautiful walks that you can do and breathtaking sceneries and would definitely go back to Vic-Sur-Cere but not to this hotel anymore.

    Friendly comfortable hotel

The view from the street makes it look modern and grim, but once inside it really is a family hotel. There's a large common area with pool tables and decorated with old tourism posters. Another room with ping-pong tables, and apparently a pool (I was there in winter during Covid when all that sort of stuff was shut). My room could have used an update, but I rather like old fashioned French hotel rooms. I was just passing through for the night so I really can't judge the place, but the owners were friendly, I slept well, and the breakfast (taken in my room due to Covid) was a pretty standard French breakfast. All in all, nothing to complain about.

    Need to be refresh

We spent one night in this place and i would not spend more than a night! The place is good for family, like the name indicate but the furnitures are too old. We are in 2013 and i am not expecting to find carpets in hotel rooms. The room was clean but again no decoration and old furnitures. The food was good at a reasonable price but having the owner and his family taking dinner at the same time than the clients is a bit wired. Service... the lady is really efficient but if she needs to smile a bit more.
