  Not very good.

  Unfriendly management and unprofessional staff except the two guys serving in the restaurant. Plastic carpets and no soap, shampoo or anything in the bathroom except towels. If they had not made me pay in advance for the hole stay, I would have left after one night.

  OK hotel near the beach, with a good restaurant

  I see some people experience like me that the hotel de Midi meets you with lack of staff speaking English, some apparent lack of effort, and simple standards. But it grown on you - it is a family and local kind of hotel - it won't adapt to you - you have to adapt to it. The rooms are simple, but clean. There is a little work desk with a good chair, but the free internet is hardly working. There are two plastic chairs at the balcony, but no table. I see some people don't find the shampoo and stuff - they are under the plastic glasses in the basket. The breakfast is simple, but if you ask for ham and cheese it is what you need, for 8 . The beach is 50 m away, a minimarket 100 m up the street, free parking, the Palavas centre 30 minutes walk away. The best thing about the place is that the restaurant is pretty good, and has the atmosphere and selection and value for money you'll appreciate. For instance the three course menu for 18 and decent table wine. Try it!

  Charming staff, modern room, very clean/quiet and no nonsense - pack light

  Plan to return many times. Great location, super clean, sweet staff, parking and ocean view right across from the beach. No elevator but if you pack light it isn't an issue. We added Saturday night in Palavas at the last minute and had a hard time finding a room. This hotel had mixed reviews but we were desperate and were pleasantly surprised. The ower/operator is grumpily wonderful with a great sense of humour and very professional. At the desk we met three other couples like us who stayed the weekend to take advantage of the gorgeous weather. It is not for complicated fashionable people but was an awesome place to sleep on a getaway weekend. We were the only first timers. The outside hasn't been updated but the decor is up to date and very well maintained - there are 50 or 60 years of time travel from outside to inside. He has been renovating since he acquired the hotel and is working on getting permits for a rooftop terrace. Not a chain hotel, not out to impress but welcoming and charming.

  July stay - 2 mums with 6 yr old children

  The room just fitted the bill, good size, very clean, decor new. Efficient air con, sea view from the balcony (over the low rise houses opposite). The wifi worked well in reception, not so well in the room. The children loved how close the hotel was to the beach. The service was excellent- particularly in the restaurant. The owner appears gruff to begin with but turned out to be endlessly helpful- particularly when it came to parking our car! The meals were lovely- fresh ingredients, well priced and punctually served. The staff were happy to do half price portions of adult food for children who didn't want to choose from the kids menu. The only change we'd suggest would be a cheaper option at breakfast. At 8 Euro a head an adult might get their money's worth but, had we paid 8 Euro per child that would have been possibly the most expensive croissant in France. So we preferred to pop round to the next door campsite bakery instead. On the whole, we were extremely pleased with our choice and would definitely come back.

  Delightful little 3* hotel

  We only stayed one night at this delightful hotel in a wonderfully undeveloped resort, but could have spent a week here. We had a room 8 which had sea views and a balcony. The staff were excellent as was the food, taken on a terrace with sea views. No pool but a short walk across the road to a sandy beach and the clear blue sea. Would recommend it to anyone wanting a change from the large impersonal hotel chains.
