  Old and not well maintained

  Quellenhof Photos in-line are enhanced quite a bit to make the place look newer. We had a 2 bed suite, the door onto the terrace could not close, had to be fixed by a the maintenance guy/Gardner/breakfast attendant. The place is old and not well kept. Staff are ok. Avoid...

  Not at all like the pictures

  The photos of this hotel are nothing like what we experienced, the place is in need of a lot of TLC. Apparently we had a 2 bedroom apartment, it had 1 bathroom which opened into the living room/ 2nd bedroom. The other room can only be described as a mezzanine. Not at all what we had expected. This was the most expensive room on our 3 week holiday and by far the worst. There was no bar or restaurant, you could purchase cans of beer from reception, we ended up having to order in some pizzas. Its only redeeming feature was the good breakfast, although it did take us 3 attempts to get a table.

  great value for money - very friendly staff

  We staid 2 nights with kids for a short ski break and had rented both a family studio (sleeps 4) plus a de luxe double bed room. Contrary to some prior comments, both rooms were in optimal conditions and nicely renovated. Breakfast buffet was a bit basic but still offered good choices for every taste. Both the receptionist as well as the entire staff were very friendly and helpful. Yes, the building is from the 80's (and so are several design features), but the rooms are spacious perfectly redone and left nothing to wish. This is a 3 star hotel and you get what you pay for - but if you want to stay in a clean place with not a lot of bells and whistles, this is a good choice... (The only downside to mention is that the restaurant is presently closed, but this also allows you to sample some of the very colourful local places nearby in Grainau.) We certainly will come back!

  Welcome to the shining hotel..

  After spending a 5 days ski break with family and friends I decided to be generous and give them 2 stars. What works: Breakfast is average quality but offers all you need to start the day. The manager, she acknowledged all problems and tried to help as much as possible Price: convenient for the area What DOES NOT WORK: swimming pool : broken and we were not informed prior arrival (not ideal with children travelling with us) Cleaning: poor Bar: closed and abandoned Would I go back? Not really

  Not a good hotel

  I went with my family and one of the first things that we learnt was that the pool, sauna and bar was not in use anymore. We bought an apartment room with 2 bedrooms and the beds were stiff and uncomfortable, the bathroom was old and a lot of it was slowly rusting. The breakfast was good but thats because it was all just bought from Aldi some items still had the tags on. Its a three star hotel but Ive been in two star hotels that are better, I wouldnt recommend to go here.
