outrageous unlisted feesWe had booked a place using points here and arrived midday ready to relax. Doing a quick search will show you that in may, this place for one night goes for about 60 euro. When we arrived to check in, they said that our points did not include the resort fee, cleaning fee, and some other fees. We figured fair enough, resort fees are sometimes extra. So we asked how much 6 euro x 2, plus a cleaning fee of 42 euro, plus then the guy kept talking (to be fair he was polite). I stopped him there and just asked him for the total cost. Extra fees of 84 euro for the one night. Who sells a room on expedia for 60 euro with a surprise 84 euro in fees upon arrival which is not listed on either their website or kayak or expedia, etc. His manager was more than UNWILLING to budge on this so we turned around and left. Not only that, she kept telling us this wasn't a hotel.. It isn't a resort.. It's a residence and apartment. If that's the case they should change the name of the place. Terribly frustrating! Odd thing is that they looked surprised! So we just went to another place for 50 euro instead. It would only be recommended to stay here for a longer term stay.

Mixed feelingsThis "resort" is a bit tricky to rate since it offers a mix of good and bad things. So whether it suits you or not depends on your needs. Overall, my impression is that the resort has been around for a few decades with normal maintenance but no major refurbishing. So even though the resort is clean and tidy, there's an "outdated" feeling all over the place. During the high season, there's a whole bunch of compulsory "resort fees" that add on significantly to the listed accomodation price. These are however clearly presented at the time of booking (I booked directly through the hotel) so there's no additional surprises at check-in. On the good side: - The shuttle service to the beach works very well, no need for a car to go to the beach - The beach (~1500m away). It is an excellent long, shallow beach with clear water and nice sand. - Good quality and decently priced coffee at the pool bar. On the bad side: - The pool rules: The pool closes for 3 hours every afternoon. Wearing a swim hat is compulsory. Jumping from the edge into the pool is prohibited. - Service flaws: When we entered the room, there were no linens in the kids' bed. When we asked for linen, the just gave us a pack and we had to make the beds ourselves. - Even if an umbrella and two sun beds at the beach is included in the resort fees, you still have to book your umbrella a.s.a.p. with the beach staff to get a decent spot. When we got there, we randomly picked a free umbrella, but after a while we were pointed to another one far in the back being the only non-booked umbrella. - Why provide a very detailed list of equipment and "what you pay if you break" price (e.g. 5 forks 2EUR, 5 wine glasses 5EUR, 1 TV 200EUR, ...) when multiple items were missing already at check-in? - Evening entertainment: The entertainment staff are not as skilled as I'm used to seeing from other resorts. It more feels that they've recruited whatever local teens they've found rather than skilled singers/dancers. - Difficult to find english-speaking staff
