  Genial

  Hemos estado 3 días a finales de octubre y el hotel es idílico. El hotel está integrado en plena naturaleza. Laura de recepción es genial , está muy atento a todo lo que necesites. Incluso un día nos nevó y nos quedamos incomunicados y la mujer nos ofrecióo lo poco que tenía ella para poder cenar algo. Está a 5 minutos del Monte Rushmore y muy cerca de todas las atracciones de las Black Hills. Desde la habitación se pueden ver ciervos, unas aves muy grandes.... Idílico. El lobby del Hotel con la chimenea en la época de frio es un lujo por la noche. Las habitaciones están muy bien y el buffet de desayuno tiene lo justo para un buen desayuno. Para mi es una muy buena opción. Me dieron rascadores quita hielos para limpiar el coche, echaron sal para poder salir... muy buena gente.

  Great Hotel..

  We stayed here for the first time a few weeks ago heading home from Yellowstone (we wanted to see Mt Rushmore at dawn and did). The fall foliage was gorgeous. The hotel took precautions for COVID19. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. Our only issue was the air conditioner didn't seem to work. It blew, but never really cooled off so we didn't sleep well due to it being too hot. I'm not sure how you rate a room at the front of the hotel so you have a view, but if we stay here again we'll ask for one of those rooms. Our window faced the trees at the back so we couldn't see much.

  excellent Hotel.

  Excellent hotel, great location, away from the town, very quiet, strongly recommend. We wanted a hotel for a one night stay to go visit Mount Rushmore and glad we chose this hotel. Staff friendly at greeting, very clean and comfortable room. Beautiful view.

  Very nice

  This is a very enjoyable base from which to explore SW ND. The rooms were large and well appointed, there is actually a decent view of Mt. Rushmore (in the distance) and the staff was courteous and knowledgeable. They are among the few hotels that still attempts to provide a complimentary breakfast and it was OK. Social distancing is required, though not enforced. Its an easy walk to Keystone (for what that's worth). I would highly recommend it.

  The perfect value and the perfect place to stay when visiting the Black Hills

  Due to Covid causing a rethink of traditional vacation plans, my wife and I visited South Dakota for a completely different kind of vacation. We decided to make Keystone and the K Bar S Lodge our home base to see Mt Rushmore, The Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, The Badlands, Deadwood, and Devil's Tower in Wyoming. This was the perfect place. We went in October and therefore were blessed with an uncrowded lodge while we were there. The town of Keystone was pretty much shut down for the winter by the time we visited, but it was still an incredibly charming place to stay. The grounds of the lodge are absolutely beautiful and we could see Mt Rushmore (which is only a few miles away) from our room. The breakfast was hot and delicious (with different breakfast meats each day), and very safely served in an extremely clean covid safe eating area with tables spaced quite far apart (much more than 6 feet). Masks were required in the public areas, and the other patrons adhered to this, so we felt as safe as possible while staying there. The room was a little on small side and the beds were not the most comfortable, but with all the activity we had during our stay, we slept well, nonetheless. However, there was not daily maid cleanup of the room while we were staying there, but if room items were needed, you filled out an "order form" and left if hanging on your door. The next day, a bag with everything you requested was left outside your room door. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful with lots of advice on additional things to do and see that we didn't know about. The lobby had 24 hour coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Given the price we paid, and the quality of the lodging, this was an incredible value. We absolutely loved our stay here!
