Beware of the cockroachUpon our arrival we noticed the rooms were not at all like the pictures: the furniture was quite old, the kitchen and bathroom small and badly equipped. Furthermore, the washing machine didn't work properly (it took 12 hours to wash) and the beds were very uncomfortable. Also our room was not cleaned properly (there were dead insects lying on the floor) and it was dusty. We made some remarks about this to the host (which was very kind by the way) and it was fixed immediately. After we found cockroaches, giant beetles, crickets and other insects in our the bathroom, kitchen and bedroom we decided to leave (day 3 of our 7 nights). We were very disappointed. Nevertheless, the host (Elsa) was very friendly and offered to find another location for us. The wine from the estate was also quite good. The view from the location is fantastic and the pool (although old) serves its purpose quite well.

Perfect holiday in TuscanyWe stayed 2 weeks in this very nice agriturismo. Our apartment was clean, the staff (Elsa) very nice and helpful. The bathroom could have been a little bit bigger, but only a whiner will complain about it. Big swimming pool with great view on the surrounding hills and vineyards, where the owner produces delicious wines. The location (Montaione) is ideal for exploring Tuscany. Enough restaurants with good price/quality are very close. We will certainly come back!

charming place in tuscanyWe stayed 3 nights in this agroturismo. The place was very charming, incredible view over the vineyards and olive trees, perfect place for farniente :) The house is very old, 13th century if I'm not wrong but completely renovated. They also have a nice pool, we had the luxury of having it only for ourselves. I suggest to use the GPS coordinates to find it, not very easy using google maps. The wifi signal was not very strong, we have internet on the terrace but not indoor.

Extremely disappointed ! Worth a below zero score (first time that this happens to us).Duration of stay Date of arrival: April 16th 2017, date of departure: Saturday, April 22nd 2017 Finding the location It took us 2 hours of touring around Montaione before we found out that Panorama of Tuscany is locally named La Pieve. On the road only a small arrow points to La Pieve. The cellular phone number that was given as contact was not answered. The address given, Via Santo Stefano 54, is not correct: this is a private house. The location is situated 1 km farther on the road. Arriving at the location Nobody present upon our arrival at 10 pm. Defunct: -No heating (and is only 8 degrees outside) -No warm water -No gas -No Wi-Fi -Television gives no channels (moreover, batteries of the remote are empty) Contacting the cellular phone number that was given as contact remains without result. Presence of cockroaches is unpleasant. Living room is poorly enlightened. No towels to wash dishes First morning Property maintenance person is around and starts up heating and warm water. Lady (property management) shows up and arranges payment for the full period. Gives us a complimentary bottle of wine and a bottle of olive oil. Third day Arriving at 10:30 pm find out that there is again no central heating. At another number an Italian speaking and unfriendly sounding person says that he cannot understand me since he does not speak English. Finally the property management person picks up the phone and promises to contact the property maintenance person. When at midnight nobody has shown up we undertake action since it will freeze this night. Found out that de boiler (installed in the garden) was on warm water only. We turned it to warm water and central heating. My wife and myself decide that the complimentary bottle of wine and the bottle of oil are far from a sufficient compensation for all the discomfort. Morning of the fourth day Property management person shows up and explains that there was a currency interrupt the day before (I do not understand how this can do something to the button that was on warm water only). The lady cannot return money to us and she promises that she will send the contact information of the property owner, so that we can ask him for a refund. The property management person promises to look after the gas (still not functioning) and explains that it is Booking.com that adds the statement that Wi-Fi is available, even after several times mentioning that Wi-Fi is not available (except in and around the administration office). Checking at the web site of Booking.com, I was surprised to see that Wi-Fi is no longer indicated as available. Three weeks after our return we still did not get the contact information of the property owner. Day of departure The property management person, more than ever displaying a lack of friendliness, hands over the completed invoice form and leaves the property.

Lovely stay, ignore the bad reviews.Me and my boyfriend stayed in Montaione for 10 days and La Pieve was perfect. Very close to Florence, Siena, Pisa etc via car, it was the perfect spot to explore tuscany from. There is a tennis court and a swimming pool on site. We had a massive balcony overlooking gorgeous views of vineyards and olive groves. The view from the pool was exceptional. We meandered around the properites olive groves in the evenings and then sat out drinking wine and star gazing. I highly reccomend this property. We will be returning. Upon arrival we were supplied with a basket containing pasta, tomato sauce, garlic and a bottle of wine. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom had a decent hair dryer.
