Simplemente ExcelenteAunque fue una sola noche la que pasamos, solo puedo decir que fue excelente. El trato que nos dieron fue excelente, las habitaciones muy confortables, la cena de estrella, el desayuno como en casa. ¿por qué no repetir?

Great stopoverLocated at the lower end of town with the old part high up on the hill, didnt fancy the climb so just strolled along the trout river which was much needed after a long drive. Our room was located at the rear of the property and was not next to the main road, this overlooked the hills of which we saw four buzzards flying. The room itself was quiet even so it was a little dated but comfortable. The restaurant was a gourmets delight and the best meal we had in France.

Great food, lovely staff comfortable roomsMy wife and I stayed in the Grand Hotel L'Etape while driving through France from London to Mallorca. We chose Saint-Flour as it was close to the motorway. This hotel was a real gem and and amazing find off the beaten track. We had dinner at the restaurant, beautiful french cousin. The hotel is family owned and run and the staff a attentive and respective to all your needs. We stayed with our little dog and they were hugely welcoming to him which was also great.

Four Star hotel in 3 Star clothing. Great stayThis small hotel in this small town fights above its weight as you walk in the door met by the friendly landlady. Little touches like separate loo bathroom accessories are welcome. Kettle for us Brits was welcome for tea drinkers. The restaurant was excellent and the reason for it being busy the excellent food we enjoyed. Service was a little slow but worth the wait. One young waiter was very helpful however and he spoke excellent English. Good and reasonably priced wine list too. If your feeling energetic you can climb up to the old haute ville on the goat route steps but youll need a beer at the top especially in August!

Nice little hotel outside of old townStayed just one night to break up a long road trip so didn't really sample hotel's facilities or food. Rooms nice and modern with nice bathrooms. Beds very comfy. Our room had a little balcony which you could stand on (but not sit). About 5-6 parking spaces in hotel car park, but plenty of on-street parking right outside the hotel. The old town is a very steep walk from the hotel, but we drove and there is a large free car park on edge of old town. However there are also several eating establishments close by. Note the reception closes at 9pm, so if you are going to be later than that you need to notify them (Expedia say 7:30pm - this is incorrect)
