  Very good hotel

  I stayed here for three nights with friends as we were going to the races at Cheltenham. What a great place to stay. The owners were very nice and couldnt do enough for you. The room was adequate and had everything you needed. They have a great bar area and on one night had a singer performing in the evening. The breakfasts were very good too. We also had some food in the evening (steaks). They were superb. Well worth the money and would stay again for sure.

  Lovely place to stay ....

  Friendly owners / managers. They weren't doing food as we were about to enter lockdown ... this was a just a few days before hotels were shut down. But they cheerfully recommended places to go, and was welcome to bring back takeaway. Cosy room, great price, I have stayed here before. Loads of off street parking out the back. I would love to go to Crime through the Time museum in town, when / if we all get back to 'normal' ! One of the very few places, where I have been shown / told where the fire escapes were !

  Great hotel with fantastic service

  Great place, owners couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly, made us feel very welcome and bent over backwards to ensure our stay was excellent with great food recommendations and amazing service. Great mountain biking in the Forest of Dean, curry from the Akash restaurant was great as was a meal at the White Hart, Broadoak (as recommended)

  The management couple at the hotel could not have been more friendly or welcoming. From letting us wash our bikes after A filthy but enjoyable day mountains biking to great recommendations of where to eat whilst out on our travels. The rooms are basic but met our needs. My room (2) did have a pump or something that generated a consistent low level noise but it didnt stop me sleeping. Breakfast was spot on and good value. Freshly cooked to order, it set us up for a hard days cycling. It was a good stay during a funny time with Covid but can recommend as a good value stay option.

  Beautiful Hotel in a Historic Setting.

  Excellent location and my children enjoyed running uo and down the massive grounds. Staff were amazing and will definitely be visiting again. Great location for the Forest attractions and amazing for mountain bike trails.
