  Relaxing holiday

  Just back from a 2 week holiday at Meli Palace. We arrived at almost midnight, no sooner were we off the coach a porter took our luggage to the hotel. We received a very warm welcome and a juice drink. We were taken to our room on the 2nd floor and our luggage came within minutes. Our room was a good size, very clean and lovely comfy beds. There was plenty of storage space, however the hanging space was quite short. There was a fridge with bottled water, soft drinks and 2 plates of sandwiches. The bathroom had a shower over the bath and screen. The hotel is in a very quiet area, with gardens and its own beach with sun loungers and parasols. Towels are provided at no extra cost. Sisi is about 30 minutes walk away or 6 in a taxi. There was a variety of food choices in the restaurant, although some not hot enough at times. The breakfast omelettes were lovely, as were the 4min soft boiled eggs. There was a good drinks choice, the White Lady cocktail being a particular favourite of mine. Our room was cleaned to a very high standard. We were given use of the showers in the spa as we had a late departure and could not keep our room. We were given bottles of water, luggage taken to the taxi and waved off by staff. A very big thank you to all the staff, you are all amazing and always smiling. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. We went on the Happy Train, which was great and well worth 18 each, thank you George. Would we re visit the Meli Palace, definitely.

  Fantastic Family Holiday

  I recently stayed at the Meli Palace with my wife and toddler for 10 days.  We had a fantastic stay. The highlight were the fantastic staff who were so friendly and helpful, especially with our daughter. The beach is private and clean and there was always enough space there and around the pool. The room was a good size and clean. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

  Looking for a rest?

  Nice hotel with its own beach, swimming pool and tennis courts. Well watered and kept garden setting.Pleasant young entertaining staff lay on activities for adults and children. Although near Malia, not spoilt by its proximity. Good buffet food and the opportunity for al fresco a la carte dining.

  Relaxed, family hotel with outstanding hospitality

  We were a party of 5 - myself, my husband, our 2 adult sons and 8 year old daughter. The stand out feature for us was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff - every single one of them from our arrival to our departure. The leadership must be excellent. This a medium sized , very well laid out hotel in lovely grounds. The food was good and varied. I enjoyed our free visit to the lovely spa and treated myself to a fabulous massage. The nearest town is Sissi which is a 30 walk from the hotel. The town is small but worth a visit. The private sandy beach is good, particularly for this area of Crete which is not known for its beaches. The sea is shallow but a bit rocky just in the part near the beach, so you need aqua shoes. There are more than enough sun loungers on the beach if the pool loungers are all taken. We had sea view rooms which were spotless. The bathrooms were good enough but could do with an update. This was not a problem for us as the fantastic views more than made up for it. The entertainment varied from night to night. We particularly enjoyed the Motown Tribute act. All the staff were great, but special mention should go to Moaz from the animation team, Maria at the beach bar and Michalis, the maitre d. I would happily return to his hotel in the future.

  Splendid lunch with my family

  Shayan made us feel so welcome and food was so tasty. Meat was cooked to perfection. Presentation of the food made me feel so special, loved the starters and the mains. Will come again with my friends
