  A True Jamaica Gem

  My husband and I stayed 3 wonderful nights at Pimento Lodge. The resort and accommodations are quiet, clean and beautiful, but what makes this property extra special are its owners. We have adopted Kate, Lloyd and Dionne as our Jamaican family and miss them already. We were treated as VIPs and Kate's local dishes are simply melt-in-your-mouth divine. We miss those already, too. We will definitely run back to Pimento Lodge whenever we make our way that way again.

  Do not stay

  This place is nothing like the pictures!!! There is no tv, hair dyer, iron. The pool, bar, and restaurant is a joke. Dinner is $25 per adult, food is average at best. Nothing about the property is true. I have traveled to many places and I would not recommend this place to anyone. My husband and I left a day early. This side of the island is beautiful and the locals are amazing and enjoyed the food by the locals I have never written a negative review, however this place is not a lodge. Do not stay here.

  Nice hotel with warm hosts

  2 nights in a nice room confortable clean with AC and fan and spectacular environement and view over carribean sea Very nice hosts On a cliff very quiet and very close to thé beach It just have to be à bit more maintened(painting and cleaning thé outside)to be perfect!

  STAY HERE!

  We stayed here for a week three years ago and had an amazing time. Lloyd and Kate went to great lengths to ensure our stay was excellent. We are a family of 5 (kids 14, 12 and 9 at the time) and our family room was perfect. The gardens are beautiful and really well looked after and the pool was gorgeous. Lloyd was the perfect host and we spent many hours chatting over a beer or cocktail. The food was great- lots of fresh local fruit and they introduced us to local foods whilst also accommodating our fussy children! The views were to die for and the local beach was totally untouristy. Lloyd helped us with arranging trips to nearby waterfalls which were amazing and a fantastic river rafting experience! He even cut fresh aloe vera from the garden to help soothe one of my daughters insect bites! Although it has taken us over three years to write this review (sorry!) we still often talk about our wonderful holiday at Pimento Lodge and would love to return one day. We hope all is well :)

  We'll be back!

  Jamaica has a wealth of hidden gems for the inquisitive tourist. The Pimento Lodge is one of those priceless jewels that offers far more than just an alternative to the all-inclusive experience. Katherine and Lloyd are superb hosts, excellent cooks, and go out of their way to insure you have perfect stay and want to come back. For the experienced traveler, the Pimento Lodge is conveniently located near Boston - the home of Jamaican Jerk, the famous Blue Lagoon, and rafting on the Rio Grande. The Pimento Lodge is also a perfect hideaway for a writer, screenplay producer, or editor to start, finish, or polish a written work of art. The peaceful atmosphere lends itself to creativity at the highest level. Complete with a large, clean pool and exotic garden, the Pimento Lodge has everything you need to refresh, unwind, and give yourself over to the natural life. When youve grown tired of the same make believe Jamaica, book a few nights or a few weeks in the Pimento Lodge and experience the real Jamaica for a change.
