  Excellent stop en route to skiing!

  Super unique hotel, built in the style of a medieval monastery! The rooms were small but quaint and full of atmosphere. The bed was very comfy! Added bonus for travellers was the super Italian resto with dressed up monks as waiters, great service and super friendly. My only gripe with the place, for which I deducted 1 point was the reception. I looked on Bookings.com and saw the price. I then looked on the hotel site which was a little more (surprisingly). I walked into reception and asked for the walk in rate (as stated on their website) and he quoted me more than both the other sites! So I walked outside and booked the cheaper price on-line! Disappointing!

  Unique/fun/convenient

  The second I walked in I loved this place. It is completely unique, comfortable, beautiful, and the staff is very friendly. I will definitely be back as the atmosphere is perfect after a long day of business travel.

  Uber Romantic, Book now!

  We were blown away from the instant we passed the fountain at the entrance to the candlelit lobby! San Gabriel Hotel is a medieval convent turned into a luxury hotel. This place oozes Romance! The rooms are spacious with designer touches that remind you of the simplicity of a convent, but with an eye to luxury. All the furniture is hand crafted, and with the light of the candles in the hallways, you are transported back in time. Be sure to enjoy the onsite restaurant, which is also lit by candles, with your server in a friar's robe. If you are in the Munich area, make a detour to stay here!

  Interesting hotel concept in Rosenheim

  We stayed one night at this hotel during our Inn river biking tour. The concept of an Italian monastery style hotel is certainly unusual and quite a change to standard hotels we stayed during the rest of the tour. The attention to details is amazing, but sometimes the functionality was sacrificed for great design. Our double room was quite small, especially the bathroom was impossible to be used by two people at the same time. The hotel is located a bit outside the city center, so be prepared to walk for a good half hour or take a taxi into town. The breakfast was good, but again the room is quite small. We took dinner in the attached restaurant, which was very good and enjoyable,. If you're up to a non-standard hotel experience, this place is definitely a good choice.

  Great quirky hotel

  Great quirky hotel. Not the best curb appeal especially with the building works going on next door where the hotel is expanding. Room interesting and comfy. Friendly staff. We ate at the restaurant and was not disappointed. Watch out in the car park as its a bit uneven, our car bottomed out. Great stay would return
