  Excellent stay. 5 star services

  We stayed two nights at Sora. One of the reason why we chose it is base on a very popular Japanese drama which broadcast during Winter 2016. Its quite pricy but worth it. Room: The room is a typical Japanese style but with a modern add-on. Spacious, very comfortable with a good view on the surrounding woods (our room is on the 5/F). In our room we also have a private onsen which is also facing the woods. The in-room onsen is very spacious and good enough to fit in two adult or two adults plus a kid. Food: Dinner and breakfast is served in the restaurant. They are individual rooms in the restaurant and you will be leads into one, keeping your privacy. The food are super yum and they try to include local food (fish and or vegetables) into the menu. Very high standard and the portion are HUGE! They have a lot of dishes for dinner and they serve it one by one at the end it took us more 2 hours to complete the dinner. We were not able to finish all the food as its a lot. Hotspring: There are two private outdoor onsens and our package include two visits so we were able to try both. You will need to book on the day to have a 45 mins session. The view is excellent so I would recommend to visit during day time. They also have public onsen too, both in door and out door are available. Staff: Friendly and attentive. Okay English and some also able to speak okay mandarin. When we were out for dinner/breakfast, the hotel staff will help set up the bed or remove the bed. When you check it they also explain this part to you carefully and ask if you are okay with it. Location: its only 5 mins walk to Shuzenji Temple so as other sight seeing spot at Shuzenji. Near by there are a number of restaurants and shops. One local fresh fruit shop is around 8 mins walk and a convenient shop is within 10 mins walk. Please note some shops only open from lunch to afternoon. Others: They have a souvenir shop next to the reception. Two lifts are available. Free parking is available for guests.

  Beautiful Garden and Cozy Size Inn

  My sister and I stayed here for two nights. I loved the view from our window of the beautiful Japanese garden. It is not a huge hotel, so it was quiet and onsen was not too crowded. It's catered to adult guests. Food was traditional full course Japanese. It was very good, but I wish it was more different the second night. Two consecutive nights of traditional full course Japanese meals were a bit too much for me. Shuzenji is a little town, and you can wonder around in an afternoon. Most people enjoy going to onsen multiple times a day. It's very relaxing.

  Good Hot Spring Hotel

  Sora becomes very famous after Drama shooting location. Good cleanness, good hot spring, Good cuisine. Here is comfortable Hotel. Garden is classic Japanese style. We visit here on Nov, so we can enjoy beautiful autumn colors. Cuisine is Japanese Kaiseki style. Appetizer, Hot pot, Fish, Meat, Rice, dessert... We enjoy Delicious foods with Japanese Sake.

  Amazing Food, Onsen and Garden

  The garden view made me Wow when we first entered the hotel lobby. The garden is absolute beautiful. The hotel is a mix of old and modern style. The Room is very spacious and clean. Reception staff was very friendly and polite. We have paid extra yen and tried the outdoor private onsen which was really amazing. Beautiful Shuzenji town view and onsen. I have also tried the public outdoor onsen which is illuminated on the sides, very beautiful! The Dinner and breakfast were Amazing, very delicious and fresh. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, she came in and chat with us during dinner. Although we visited during weekdays, most of the shops were not open, it was still great to walk around the town, temples and Bamboo forest.

  good atmosphere

  Dinner and breakfast are outstanding. You can enjoy local foods. Bath rooms are beautiful and crean. You can try some diferent type of bath and you can also enjoy private bath room with extra fee. The garden is beautiful. Autumn will be the best season to visit.
