  Nice option in the area

  Stayed here for dropping my daughter off to college. Nice comfortable room with a separate sitting area and kitchenette. Beds are comfortable and they have pillows labeled firm and soft. Monday thru Wed. they have evening light snacks with complimentary beer, wine and soda. Breakfast is good, it seemed as if the scrambled eggs were powdered. The walls are thin and we could hear someone snoring in the next room

  Great for family stay but rooms/amenities our outdated

  DISCLOSURE: I originally posted a review for this stay but IHG/hotel property didn't approved of my review stating that there's legally sensitive content so I have to change the review. So I'm adjusting the structure and hope to still provide valuable information for future travelers. --- We like staying in a hotel with separate kitchen since our toddler has special food needs. What we like: -The kitchen with dishwasher. -- just like your home (a plus) - Free breakfast What we did not like: -The furniture (e.g. dining table/chairs) are out-dated -- I hope this is no longer sensitive content as I've seen similar reviews from other people that got approved ;) -The Gym has 1 elliptical, 1 treadmill, and 1 bicycle -- it's has a strange sound when using it - (I hope this is not too sensitive as well :) -The Swimming pool area :( -Breakfast is free but limited in choices Also on weekends, room cleaning is optional. You can still request it but you may need to do some follow up. As I previously stated in my original review, our family really liked the main features in the room but as travelers, it's our responsibility to provide honest reviews so people already know what to expect rather than get too disappointed. I would still recommend this hotel. Not sure about us though.

  This stay changed my mind about Staybridge Suites

  My friend from San Diego was staying here for work again, so I got to visit and stay over a few nights. Last time I thought the stay was decent but maybe not the best, I rather stay at a Holiday Inn Express. But this stay changed my mind. The staff was on point and took care of the paperwork and posting of my friends rewards point in a timely manner. We even checked in early, no prob. Parking is easy, right out the front door. We got upgraded to a nice 1 bedroom king bed suite with a mini kitchen. Basically all it was missing was an oven. But it had a 2 burner electric stove, full sized freezer/fridge, big sink and dishwasher. Dishes, pots and pans all provided, even a toaster and coffee maker. Hot brewed coffee is available in the lobby 24/7, so we didn't need the coffee maker. The room was large with 2 big flat screen TV's, a couch and work desk. The bedroom had a nice king bed and attached vanity and bathroom. The shower had endless hot water. The AC unit was a in house unit, not the usual under the window wall unit that makes a ton of noise. This cooler ran almost silently which was really nice. What made me change my mind about Staybridge, was that before I thought the breakfast was a little subpar compared to other chains. But here, the breakfast was very good with waffles, biscuits and gravy, bacon or sausage, breakfast potatoes and scrambled eggs. There;s a selection of juices and dairy products, even soy milk for those that need it! This is what I really liked, was Mon, Tues, and Wed, they offer a Happy Hour all complimentary! Alcohol is served as beer (bud light and micros brew "804") and wine. It's all you can drink basically, though I didn't see anyone getting too carried away! Food varied from salad served with clam chowder, potato soup, nachos and meatball sliders. This is really nice and saves paying for dinner! Speaking of meals, one could cook in the included kitchen if you wanted. We cooked a lunch in the room and it worked out well. This is good especially if you're located in some po dunk town with not many eating out options. The better breakfasts and happy hour have changed my mind on Staybridge Suites over Holiday Inn Express! Both are on the same rewards program. There just aren't that many Staybridge Suites compared to Holiday Inn Expresses.

  Good hotel for the price we paid

  I love the location of this hotel. It is located behind a shopping center, which had a movie theater, shopping outlets and restaurants to eat in; and it was off of Hwy 65-very convenient. We had 2 adults and 2 kids in our party. Our room was clean and it had a mini kitchen with cooking and eating utensils provided. I felt we did not have enough bath towels for all 4 of us. The pool/hot tub was indoor. My kids really enjoyed both the tub and pool. It was opened until 11pm. The hotel complimentary breakfast offered a variety of food like cereal, yogurt, waffle, eggs, etc. but they ran out of it pretty fast and not everything got replenished while I was there which was about 30 mins. Coffee and milk was out. They ran out of sausage links but that got replenished. When I left, the eggs and waffle batter was still out. The elevator was slow. I would stay at this hotel again. It felt like a clean hotel.

  Excellent people, even when you don't stay with them

  I met a colleague at Rocklin Staybridge to pick up some computer equipment for work. I was NOT a guest of the hotel, however I do stay with IHG at times when I travel. I inadvertantly left a valuable piece of computer equipment behind, realizing it that evening after my 2 hour drive back home. I immediately called, spoke with Megan who took the time to locate it in the lobby, secure it and leave a note for her mgr. and provided me with her email address. I emailed Holly and received a telephone call the next morning Corona; I set up the shipping online and paid for it, Corona took the piece to Fedex and sent me a confirmation email with the tracking number right away. Now THAT is service, for someone who isn't even a guest. Imagine the kind of service you receive if you ARE a guest. Thank you to all the girls, I am extremely grateful and will be a lifelong customer of StayBridge. Cheers to great customer service!!! Renee
