  Disappointing

  To begin with there seemed little regard for the Covid-19 guidance/ no clear indication of a one way entrance and exit. Staff handed your drinks to you rather than place the tray on the table for you to take your own. This idea is to reduce the number of people handling your glass The interior of the place leaves a lot to be desired. very dark , difficult o read the menu which, incidentally had been used several times by look of them. guidelines state once only use and throw away. The staff where not wearing masks and therefore increased the risk Covid 19 spread. the pre meal snacks that where ordered and did not materialize. the meal and sides ordered did not all arrive at the same time and one item was missing. when this was raised with the staff it was , on a positive note taken off the bill. Overall a poor performance and our party won't be rushing back

  2 night break

  Had a 2 night break here by way of a Buyagift voucher. This was a much needed couple of days away after lockdown and some health issues. I read the reviews and as it was a mixed bag decided to find out for myself. The staff were all very pleasant and friendly both at this hotel and their sister hotel just down the road where we went for the inclusive breakfast. The food couldn't be faulted and there was plenty of it. The building is very old and we could feel this within the atmosphere of the hotel. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and again had been decorated to the feel of the building. There are areas that need to be updated and that is being addressed. We would certainly stay there again

  Few days away

  Lovely hotel over looking the river severn. Had food the first night, well cooked and tasty. Quaint room with beams. Would have been a perfect few days away but the service for the rooms was poor. No clean towels, after 4 days went and helped myself in the linen cupboard, no bath towels but at least managed to get hand towels, room not cleaned over the 5 nights we stayed. Milk coffee etc not topped up, went and complained, next day a sandwich bag with a few items tied to our door handle. Luckly the sister hotel were you go for breakfast ( which was a lovely start to the day, service and food excellent) came to the rescue with some items for the room including toilet roll. Such a shame about the poor room service as otherwise a lovely hotel.

  Pleasant, tasty pub food.

  I visited with 4 children, mixed ages, they wanted the burger/ hotdogs etc from kids menu, but nothing light to eat on the evening menu for adults. I did very much enjoy my chicken and ribs though! It was quite busy and although we didn't have to wait too long, the staff seemed rushed but to be honest I was just glad it was open!

  Not as good as previous visits.

  This is our go to restaurant in Ironbridge. This visit was disappointing. Not impressed with Covid-19 precautions. Staff came very close and not wearing masks. Food not as good as before-ribs very poor. Hardly any meat on them. Mentioned to staff who said they had changed suppliers but didnt offer any other help. Shame it will put us off returning.
