  Terrible

  Ive never stayed somewhere like this and never will again. Yes the linen was great but that was it. The room hadnt been dusted for a month the bathroom was disgusting not cleaned except the toilet. Nor was it vacuumed. If you were game to go out on the verandah. Had a big hole so dangerous its amazing they arent closed down!! You paid your money and never saw them again. Not sure why some people give good ratings thats why we went a waste of $140. I would give them 1 star.

  Cycling Tour ends well

  This place is the best. Very cycling friendly, we arrived late, cold and hungry and Graham and Alison were the consummate hosts. They had food and a roaring fire waiting for us. Rooms very comfortable and the whole place oozes homely country charm. Well be back! Thanks so much for your hospitality!

  Accommodation with a personality

  In every facet related to this accommodation, we found the management always cooperative. Our verandah upstairs rooms were spacious, clean and well kept albeit a little well-worn which seemed in keeping with the historic ambience of the inn. Our meals were inventive and a delight. The off-street parking was appreciated.

  Expensive

  I was expecting more for $150 per night! The photos I found are a bit misleading. The hotel is an historic property but needs some TLC. The room was comfortable with old period furniture. The aircon was excellent and kept the room warm. The bed was comfortable. Shower was good. I needed to clean the table on the balcony before we could use it as it was covered in dust and bird droppings. The breakfast and lounge area was drab and basic. Breakfast was a mix of cereals, tea, coffee, toast, the little packs of jam were out of date. The television in the lounge area didnt work. Way too pricey for what you got. Very disappointing.

  Overnight stay

  Very very average overpriced rooms. Wrap around balcony looked as though hadnt been cleaned for months. Cobwebs all over the chairs and tables. Ripped cushions. Dinner in the restaurant being the only choice in town was also very average and overpriced. This hotel is up for sale and it looks as though the current owners have already given up on it. Breakfast room is available all day to help yourself. It was also very old and not the cleanest. It was a help yourself scenario with bread and cereal.. the whole hotel could be so much better with a little effort and attention.
