  family meal

  Took my family of seven for family evening meal.... Lovely food, very quick service, We all oredered a differernt selection of food a enjoyed all of our food, The hotel is run by a young family and all very helpful and offer a friendly service

  Great Hotel

  Excellent atmosphere and lovely friendly staff. Very tasty Sunday lunch, generous portions for main and gorgeous homemade cheesecake. Great price and lots of offers available. Will definitely be going back

  Oh dear!

  When the ownership changed, we called in to ask about Sunday Lunch. At that time we were told there was no Sunday Lunch menus as such as they wanted to get everything from the freezer used up!! Anyway that was a while ago so we decided to try again, this time for a birthday lunch. We both prefer vegetarian food, but oh my goodness the menu was shockingly bad for anyone like us. We could have had a baked potato, but come on this is my birthday! In my head I had wanted a creamy pasta. There was one pasta option, but it was not creamy and not appealing. There was a feta burger ... or mushroom stroganoff. Surely in 2020 decent pubs and restaurants cater for wider tastes?!? I dont fancy your chances if you are vegan. Anyway all in all we were not impressed, and I wasnt impressed by the refurbishment either ... So - we left!

  Sunday Dinner

  We came here for Sunday dinner and the food was excellent......great portions and plenty of veg and lashing of think gravy. Will definitely return 10/10. They appear to have a lot of great offers on throughout the week which is good.....

  Friendly and welcoming!

  We stayed in the family room which was clean and comfortable. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. Social distancing measures are in place and we felt that we had a covid safe experience. We had dinner in the restaurant, the food was fantastic, and again we could not fault the service. Breakfast was also delicious! This is a good old down to earth, unpretentious place. Dont expect fancy furniture or expensive fussy food - just expect a warm welcome, a comfortable nights sleep and great friendly service! We will definitely be staying here again!
