  Beautiful but issues.

  I really want to give it one star but the quality of the hotel is rather nice. I will never be staying at this hotel again if I ever come back to Jeju Island though. When I was planning my 3 days on Jeju, I decided to book a nice hotel and saw this one. The jacuzzis are what sold me. I figured after a long day of site seeing I would get to relax in one of them. Well after 13 hours of site seeing on day two, I was headed back to the hotel. The gps said I would get back by 7:10. But major traffic didn't make me get back till 7:50. When I asked about the jacuzzis they said they closed at 8pm and open tomorrow morning. Jacuzzis should stay open till 10pm at least. My final day I decided to skip hiking Mt Hallasan and relax with the jacuzzi in the morning and site see and dinner somewhere else on the island. After finally going down to the lobby asking about the jacuzzis, they said "Reservation?"I thought they meant my room number but you actually have to reserve a jacuzzi!! So there weren't any available until 2pm. Which is around the time I was going to leave to head to other parts of the island. So I skipped Mt Hallasan and upset about it because I wanted a relax day but didn't get to relax. As a foreigner I'm not upset about the language barrier with any of the staff, but they should have written something about it in their hotel service directory as I checked that on day 1. The only mention is the jacuzzi is on one sheet only in Korean. If you plan on only relaxing, and have a longer stay I would suggest this hotel. But if you like to see as much as possible on the island, and plan on little time at your room, stay elsewhere.

  JeJus Best so Far

  Its the best place to stay when in Jeju City as Ive checked during my stroll .. its overlooking the ocean and just near to all the tourist attractions. They have great Korean food and buffet . cozy rooms and bathrooms .. staff accommodating and respectful .

  3 day relation in Jeju

  My Girlfriend and I were sold when we saw the view Utop had to offer over the sandy beach during Lowtide. We were in Jeju for 3 days during our vacation and transportation was easy. We took only one bus from the airport to the hotel and vice versa. And bused everywhere on the east coast of the island. (Buses take The T-card as well). Restaraunts are in short supply and the hotel doesn't offer compl. Breakfast which is not a bother to us, but maybe a dealbreaker for some. I recommend this place if you plan to stay only 3-4 days in Jeju.

  Not foreigner- friendly area

  This part of Jeju didn't feel very foreign tourist friendly. The front desk spoke English and was very helpful. Don't be fooled by the bathtubs in photos, there wasn't one in my room which was very disappointing. This wasn't specified in the booking. The beds are standard hard Korean beds but the fluffy covers and pillows made up for that. There was a nice range of TV channels. The bathroom was sizable but the towels were obnoxiously rough. It hurt my fingertips to touch. There's no microwave in the room but there is a mini fridge. You can rent a jacuzzi for an hour for a whopping 60,000 which is just laughable. The beach across the street is very full of life... sea life that is. Don't bother wearing a bathing suit there unless you want to be stared at like a zoo animal. It was so annoying! It's a 25,000-35,000 taxi ride to most of the major sights on the island which wasnt bad! The hotel is situated across from the beach and surrounded by restaurants and convenience stores. Not a great place if you're looking to party.
