  £330 for a 2 night stay - poor/dirty room! Photos attached.

  Booked 2 nights here as a half-term treat for my children (ages 5 & 8). No one told us we had to book for swimming. Luckily a friend who stayed in Blackpool a few days earlier told us about this booking system. Breakfast was slow. Massive ques. I had booked 1 x Double Room & 1 x Family Room. Family room was fine. Double room however was disgusting - no where near worth £330 for two nights. I booked this hotel for a luxury stay rather than staying in a B&B on the sea front. Room was moldy, radiator rusty, bathroom DIRTY, grout around the bath filthy, light in the bathroom broken with plaster hanging off the wall, carpet was stained. Just not what we expected at all. So sad for a half-term break after a rubbish year. ROOM 304 - AVOID!!!!!

  Lovely stay

  I had read the reviews before we came and I was a little put off after reading the recent negative ones.. but once we arrived it was totally fine! Lovely girl on reception.. chatty and managed to upgrade us to a lovely spacious and clean double double room. Plenty of coffee and tea bits and towels. Bathroom a little dated and the bath screen wasnt the best but it was very clean. I did ring the day before to book a slot in the pool.. so please do if you are stopping this week! Pool was great.. nice and big and the outdoor one was fine.. could have been a tad warmer though! Shower facilities were spot on.. clean and plenty of space. Breakfast was the only let down for me.. I know things are different at the minute but at least we should be getting hot water for brews.. we did eventually after asking! Full english was basic and not the hottest. Continental was a better choice.. seemed a little fresher. All in all a great spot to stay for the night.. clean and comfy. The pool made it a better stay! Im sure we will be back again soon.. mainly to go to the zoo as we did hear the Lions!

  Enjoyed

  Great Hotel Beautiful Grounds, Very family friendly as we have a toddler. Alison and her team who served breakfast were fantastic allowed my wife and I take our breakfast at alternative times and allowed us a continental breakfast for the Toddler. Emma on the reception went over and above each time we needed something done and Abby was very helpful too. It is only about ten minutes drive to all the attractions. I found a local Superstore less than 10 minutes drive. I have used numerous of brands of Hotels Globally in my time but I will be revisiting the Village brand

  Awful customer service

  Booked the hotel due to it having a pool. Upon check in we mentioned we had paid extra for this but they never informed us we had to book a time slot. When we went to use the pool the following morning we were informed it was fully booked for the day. When we questioned why we didnt get informed of this upon check in they said we didnt ask. How are we supposed to know there is a booking system when they dont tell you and no mention of it on their signs. Booked an evening meal which took about 20 mins to be told they could squeeze us on a small table. When we went for dinner the restaurant was not busy. We ordered our food and asked for side plates, these arrived after another 3 times of asking and 20 mins later. The food was thrown at us. No one came near to check on us and it was impossible to order drinks. A large group of children arrived and decided to play musical chairs. The staff did not ask them to return to their tables even though walking around the restaurant was prohibited at that time. Would not recommend staying here

  Pleasantly surprised & will return

  Visit Blackpool on occasion for work but hadn't stayed at this particular hotel before - not sure why, but will definitely be back, the facilities are superb - outdoor heated pool in December, brilliant! Gym looked huge, and indoor pool/spa area very good to, my only wish was that I was able to enjoy it for a little longer. Friendly staff, efficient check in and check out. Thanks!
