  Do Not Stay Here!

  I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are others in the area much better. The staff, and management are not up to the Marriott standards. The indoor pool is ice cold, requests not granted, poor experience here.

  The worst customer service Ive ever had from a hotel

  I have been staying at Marriotts for a long time now, so when my husband and I (along with our two young children and dog) needed a place to stay while moving from a different state and waiting to close on our house, we thought the local Marriott was the way to go. Only, we booked a ten-day stay, not knowing when our closing would happen. AT CHECK IN, at the front desk, I told the clerk we might need to extend or shorten our stay and asked if there would be any problem, because we were dragging all of our belongings with us and did not want to have to relocate everything more than once. The clerk said not to worry, that we would only have to give two to three days advance notice if we needed to extend the stay and there would be no cancellation fee for shortening it. Four days prior to the end of our original booking, I realized our closing was still nowhere in sight and asked for the extension of our stay, to which the clerk said that next day was already booked. No rooms available. She told me I should have booked those days two to three WEEKS in advance, and when I told her what I was told earlier, she only said, well, she told you the wrong information. This hotels managers idea of helping us was to give recommendations of other hotels in the area (too far out for where our children were now attending school) which allowed pets. On the day of checkout, our key locked us out when we returned to gather our belongings after dropping our kids off at school; it seemed the hotel was in a hurry to kick us out. We were forced to put our dog in a kennel, spend days searching for a DIFFERENT hotel with a much better rate, and offered no apologies for our inconvenience. The hotel treated this as our fault when this could have easily been avoided if the clerk at the desk that first day had allowed us to extend the booking. It was an incredibly stressful experience and completely unnecessary, and to top it all off, the staff here made no effort to accommodate us when they had an entire week to try to work something out for us. Marriott Corporate seems to caring nothing for their loyal customers either, because after reaching out to them, I was not even offered the courtesy of a reply. Never booking a Marriott hotel again, and I dont recommend this one!

  Comfortable Hotel for Family

  Overall, it was a very pleasant stay in a clean, comfortable hotel. The two bedroom suite was perfect for our family of 5ample space, very clean and well furnished with a full kitchen. The water pressure in the shower was terrific! I appreciated the toiletries in reusable pump bottles to eliminate plastic waste, but it would have been nice to also have body lotion during this dry winter. The area is quiet; and the free breakfast is pretty standard. Personnel was friendly and responsive. The only suggestions for improvement we had were: keep the breakfast open a bit longer on holidays (9 am is early to close); have coffee/tea available in the lobby past the 9 am breakfast closing time; and the fan in the bathroom is too loud. We would stay here again.

  Very convenient to our New Years Eve party

  Very nice hotel a mere mile from . Rooms are clean and quiet with all the usual Marriott comforts. Free breakfast is always a plus, and good coffee is available by 5 AM. Well definitely stay there again!

  Typical Residence Inn experience with a couple, minor issues.

  What you would expect from a Marriott Residence Inn. This place is located relatively close to a number of places you may want to visit on the Island, such as Stony Brook university. Im an elite Marriott rewards member. I booked online and also checked in online when i was about 90 minutes away. Although my room was ready and the keys were ready, I still had to sign a piece of paper to confirm the rate (strange and unnecessary). The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was quite comfortable. The shower had decent pressure and the water was hot. The covid era grab-n-go free breakfast is a far cry from the free breakfast spread that they did before Covid. The exercise room and pool is also closed due to covid. These are probably the most annoying changes for these kind of hotels during Covid. I called in the morning to extend checkout to 1pm, which was readily agreed to.
