  In the middle of Rugen

  We traveled here by car and nearly wouldn't pass into the hotel, as a "Festspiele" had a parking staff not letting us in. Finally when they have guide us with german millimeter precision on grass field "parking lot", they listen to us and let us pass (very extraordinary entry....) to the hotel. The hotel was very oldfashion with spacious room, but with narrow bathroom. Good dinner in classy style. After the dinner we took a straw in the garden and was surpriced by Störtebeker Festspiele, which we never heard about. A very extraordinary show with alot of actors, horses and "large" ships with a large advanced fireworks in the end. The narrow "village" we thought we could take a pilsner in, was only open when the show was over... ;-)

  Superb hotel, location and amenities

  Beautiful hotel in beautiful location and grounds. Stunning architecture and art nouveau interior with beautiful furniture and fittings. Extremely comfortable spacious room, with adjustable rise to the head of the bed, very important for my disability. The best Breakfast buffet was the best we have ever had! Fresh, local produce and great variety of food and drinks. The walk from the hotel down to Ralswiek through the woodland down to the lakeside is beautiful and tranquil and well worth a stroll. The spa and wellness centre is excellent but book before you go as it was mostly fully booked except for 20 minutes massage and oil bath which we had and wished it was for much longer! Will definitely book in advance on future visit (which we will definitely be doing!) The swimming pool, sauna and steam room are all included in the price and no booking needed, the pool is fabulous! We were slightly disappointed with the evening meal, just very mediocre and could have been more in keeping with the amazing wow factor of the rest of the hotel and its amenities.

  Perfect at every season

  Beautiful hotel in the heart of Germanys most beautiful island. Very comfortable rooms, outstanding local and seasonal cuisine, friendly staff. The Spa area is not big but sufficient. Mainly used during summer, the hotel is located just above the Störtebecker Festival with fireworks every night, but highly recommended for all seasons.

  Feeling a well bit royal.

  You get a glimpse of it through the trees on the little approach road before driving through the gates, where it unveils its full magnificents. From then on, its just the one great experience after the other. I'm not gonna waffle on, its all good. So do yourself a favour and stay a while, relax, and cruise around beautiful Rugen Island. Das is schon! Vielen Dank!!!

  Really charming hotel

  We just stayed for one night arriving on the evening ferry to Sassnitz and found a charming hotel in an 19th century caste. Rooms were large and clean, staff friendly and breakfast restaurant beatiful and food great. Highly recommended.
