  Stay here if you enjoy late night drinking but not for families

  We paid a February vacation weekend rate to stay here with our elementary school age children. The staff was great and did their best, but a party of at least a hundred college students checked in around 11 pm and the entire place turned into a college dorm. Loud, late night partying between rooms, and lots of alcohol in common areas. If you have a family or you really love skiing on fresh snow in the morning do NOT stay here. If you want to socialize then its the perfect place because there doesnt seem to be quiet hours.The room was decent but the sofa bed was broken with a really worn mattress. There is a common room but it is not for families- tons of alcohol and extremely crowded. Loud music late into the early morning hours. Id consider 175.00 per night worthy of being able to expect enough quiet to sleep. Horrible experience, and sad because we were looking forward to some family down time.

  Dog friendly and comfy

  If it's a comfy bed.cheap close to the mountain this is the spot for you.dog friendly..no breakfast..bummer..small hot tub but it's nice.room was very quiet..short drive to the lodges..they have a shuttle but didn't use it.

  Never, ever buy an "Innsider" reservation deal from Sunday River

  Seems like a good deal except that you can only reserve 48 hours in advance (can't plan), there is NO availability on the weekend, and no refunds. That's $100 plus taxes I'll never see again. You can get better deals on other local places where you can actually make reservations in advance. Will never rent from Sunday River again.

  Clean and comfortable

  Stayed two nights at the Snow Cap Inn, rooms are clean, beds were comfortable and decor is very simple. Could use an update. Showers were awesome, great water pressure and no lack of hot water. Bathroom is really tiny though but it was nice that the sink and mirror was outside of the bathroom, making it easier for two people to get ready in the morning. Coffee and water always available free to guests, as well as blueberry muffins in the am. If you want more of a breakfast than that, youll have to go find it! Staff was very nice and parking was easy. A tip, make sure you are at the shuttles at any stop along Sunday River 5 minutes before the departure time they post. We missed one shuttle even though we were there at the exact departure time and had to walk back to the hotel because the next one didnt leave for another 45 mins. All in all a good stay and I would stay there again if I went back.

  Good basic accommodations, pleasant staff

  We found this hotel to be a good value, but its not a fancy place. We stayed during senior week, so not a lot of kids around to make noise. The rooms was clean and quiet. Everything worked fine, though the heat could have been quieter (it didnt keep us up). The bathroom was a bit small but functional. The keurig coffee machine was a nice touch. The ski lockers were useful, as was the shuttle to the mountain, which ran every half hour. Note that there is no restaurant in the place, so bring your own snacks.
