  What a Amazing Place

  Good: The Pearls was amazing .....all the facilities. Restuarant Supervisor, I cannot remember her name but she was awesome. She done a better job than the manager....interact with us and could recommended the menu. The Restuarant manager on the other way did not made any contact with us although he saw us many times. What i notice is some staff are too relaxing...no eye contact with guest having their own discussing about parties etc. The security system fantastic. Bad: Check out time for the lifts can be seen as negative. Lifts full if you dont check out earlier you can miss your flights.

  I live in Durban but had to stay over two nights for a business function. This Hotel is very central in Umhlanga and you can pretty much walk everywhere. The promenade is great for a walk or run outdoors. The food was excellent during our stay and the conference facilities range from small to large. Catering was great during our sessions as well. Ample parking if you are in your own car. I have stayed here twice. The first time the room faced away from the ocean and had a poor view. The construction site behind the building. The room was small and it felt like the bedroom was in the kitchen. Avoid these rooms. The second time I stayed in a double bedroom with a sea view. Much better! No shortcomings. Even a washing machine. You will be very comfortable here for a long stay. I can certainly recommend a stay here!

  Good quick stay

  We stayed at this hotel for one night in 2019 and had to leave very early the next morning. The rooms are super clean and new, the service is generally good, but could be better outside at the pool area. On-site parking in the basement is perfect and the hotel is in a building with plenty of shops and restaurants.

  Beware of COVID RISK due to Finger Print Readers

  I would not stay at this place again, specifically during the current pandemic. There is a very high risk of infection, since you are force to use a finger print reader to get anywhere. Most other buildings have changed to non-contact bio metrics. This building has not. For example you need to use your finger print to get to your apartment, to the beach and mall. This same reader is used by 1000's of other people with no sanitation happening after.

  Beware of COVID RISK due to Finger Print Readers

  Please be warned about this place. There are finger print readers everywhere. You cannot get anywhere with scanning your finger print in *VERY HIGH TRAFFIC AREAS* where most likely 1000 of people go though. Need to go to the beach? You have to scan your finger. The finger print readers are *NOT* sanitised after each use. Most other buildings i have been to have moved to non-touch interfaces.
