  Lugar espectacular, habitación + o -

  El lugar, los jardines y los lagos son realmente muy lindos y vale la pena ir como lugar de escapada. La parte que me decepcionó fue la habitación. Era más bien vieja sin actualizar. Es decir si fuera antigua pero cuidada sería perfecto, pero estaba más bien descuidada y bastante pequeña. Pero para una escapada de fin de semana realmente vale la pena.

  Just a sad experience

  I purchased a king Room to celebrate my birthday. I arrived on my birthday and was told there were no king rooms available. I was told that all the King rooms were unavailable However I was given a Queen room That I was told was just as nice. I entered the building where which housed my room and it smelled like old wet carpet and sweat. Once i entered The Queen room it brought me to tears. The Room was small with A poor view of the Lake Out of a small window. When I called to complain they told me they did not have another room for me due to construction on the building that houses the king suites. Understand, the property had 3 families in it the 2 days I was there. And none of the building had any signs of construction. The hotel called a few minutes later to change my room. I decided to treat myself to a birthday dinner and I ordered a salad with grilled shrimp. The salad was wilted. The only beauty to this property are the grounds. The main building lacked in holiday decorations. The Christmas tree was too big for the space. Around the tree was very old and mistreated cookie houses. Not sure why they do not do something small like offer a holiday drink upon arrival with cookies. Then maybe something like a holiday gathering since there is nothing to really do there during the winter months. But considering they do not want to rent their really nice rooms during the off season it explains why they are dead during this time of year.

  A beautiful, well-apportioned site for a conference

  I was at the Airlie for a business conference and the site and service went well above and beyond my expectations for a conference. The food was good, the service was fantastic, and there were several spaces for us to meet in large and small groups for the business portion as well as for fun and networking activities.

  Mostly neat and nice

  So this was a business visit, so we did not have a chance to choose the place. It looks amazing ... a big country estate, with rooms in many different buildings that used to make up a nice place. We were in the "Lodge," which turned out to be the most institutional of the buildings... that is, the installations were out of a high-end nursing home, or that is how it felt. We got off to a bad start ... the first night, we arrived late, and were put in a room on the ground floor, with windows that were arm's length away from the sidewalk and parking lot. The room was small, the bathroom had not been cleaned, and the floor was gritty. In the morning, we brought this to the management's attention, and we were promptly switched to a much nicer room on the second floor. The windows looked out into trees, and the place was much cleaner. It is weird, because the night that we arrived the place was empty, so there were plenty of rooms... not clear why they gave us the worst of the lot! Regardless, most of what we experienced was very nice and very comfortable, so this is a pretty positive review, even though it may not look like it. Marilyn at the front desk, and Flor in the restaurant, were both quite pleasant and helpful, as were many others.

  Weekend Getaway in the offseason

  Airlie is a beauty inn with 300 acres to explore. We stayed in the Farmers House which has fairly modern rooms. We had a nice view of a pond. We walked and rode bikes around the property even though it was pretty cold. Lots of beautiful scenery to take in. Ponds, gardens, the love sculpture, the beautiful main house. There were probably 7-8 buildings that had rooms. We only went into the Silo house which had a fun little game room, the main house, Farmers house. The Farmers was really quiet although there were about 8 other couples staying there. It was spread out so you didnt get disturbed. Harrys is the on-sight restaurant which was pretty good and they served breakfast in the main hall as well. Overall with it being offseason it was a prefect getaway. Nice and peaceful. I could see it being louder in the warmer months. But it was prefect for a winter getaway.
