  Really smashing place to stay.

  We just went for two weeks, mid August and found it one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. We went with our grown up daughter and husband, our grand daughter and husband, along with three of our male grand children and one of their girlfriends, all late teens or twenties. We were all made welcome and had five rooms, two of which overlooked the seashore. All the rooms were good size with balcony's and a divan settee in case we had another guest staying! Two double wardrobes, safe, remote tv, air conditioning (a good one) and a bathroom with WC, sink, hair dryer and a very efficient shower. The plumbing worked well and it also had a good extractor. ONLY issue we had was the stairs, the room was on the third floor, no lifts in this hotel! The food was very good with different meat courses every day, various vegetables potatoes,chips and extras. There were some regulars as well, such as pizza, pasta, as well as some meals for vegetarians. Also each meal had the cold bar open with cold meats, cheeses and other salad items. Every day had fresh fruit of various types, cream and milk. Of course there was always various flavours of ice cream for the children (and the not so children). The restaraunts were clean and well organised, polite smiling staff, as was the constant refreshing of the food, not allowing anything to get cold. (except the salads)! Now the bars. Lounge bar, pool bar and club bar. All were well staffed, very little waiting ever, as they were very capable and always with a smile. I'm told by my family group, that the cocktails were great and the local beer was very good. The staff would also mix whatever you asked for, again with a smile. I think just about all the spirits were tried and enjoyed, many times over! The swimming pools were great, with a lifeguard always on duty. Some of the time the pools got very busy, not enough to stop everyone enjoying themselves though, even with the mix of british, german, french and bulgarian. Evertone just mixed with anyone. Great atmosphere. THERE was always more than enough sunbeds and this was peak holiday weeks. Pool bar was constantly busy but hardly any waiting as always enough capable staff, always of cours with a smile. The beach of wonderful soft sand was in front of the hotel, literally in front. Beautiful beach, beach bar, many sunbeds always available (the only thing with a charge of 7 levs a day, per shade with 2 beds, about £3.50)! The town was a quarter of a mile away, open day and night, made up of streets of shopfronts open like market stalls, with many goods, clothes, shoes, food etc. If you follow the road around for about less than 2 miles you come back near enough to the hotel. That is unless you stop for drinks, food, various entertainments and other things. Many of the goods were cheap relatively (but I'm not saying that there were fakes)!! Good fun, very busy apparently between June through September. The hotel has very good entertainment for the children, but very little after 9.30pm. A few things like kareoke or the animation staff singing or dancing. THAT'S my reason for four stars not five, and the lack of lifts. Great staff, great hotel, great food and drink and all in all a great holiday. Thank you Helios Beach for a great holiday from my family of ten!!

  Loved it

  We stay her for 10 nights just my husband and me .loved it . Hotel is very clean room was done everyday ,towels changed if left on the floor , always people about cleaning . All inclusive was good , food was varied don't think we had same thing twice except at breakfast , you could eat all day if you wanted to . We ate one night in the Bulgarian restaurant that was really nice . The pool area was plenty big enough and kept clean , loads of sunbeds and umbrellas. Because it on the beach you can swim in the sea then come back to your sunbed . The pool bar is good . The staff are very friendly and cheerful, they work nearly all day but are always smiling. The entertainment staff are very good , always something going of if you like joining in . Evening entertainment was good , somthing different every night. Only down fall was the entertainment room has a lot of pillars, not many places to sit so you can see everything . The town was ok , not very big , but big enough for a walk round on an evening , felt safe too . Not many bars , so if you want discos and karaoke then you won't find it here , it's more chilled out , the beach bars play music till late so you could go there . Did a couple of trips out favourite was the jeep safari , the drivers are a great laugh and put on a show after lunch , highly recommend. All in all we had a good holiday and would return to this hotel x

  Nice hotel

  Rooms are not luxurious, but had everything we needed, air con, fridge and safe, though it cost 40 lev for the safe for the week. There was a good range of food, though as a vegetarian I did struggle a bit. Veggie options were labelled, though you need to be careful as some of the stuff labeled as vegetarian really wasnt. The pool is nice and there were lots of sun loungers, it was fairly quiet as nearing the end of season. You get towels for free and can change these in the morning or at 5-6pm. Rooms were well serviced daily, with the exception of Sundays. Staff were friendly and helpful and dealt with any issues or questions promptly. Entertainment team were fantastic, there are a range of activities including daily aqua aerobics, which we loved. There is no daytime entertainment on Sundays. The evening entertainment was ok. It is about 5 minutes walk to the town, where there is a lovely pedestrianised area, that is beautiful on an evening. The hotel is right on the beach. One of oldest hotels in Obzor so no disabled access. Would recommend.

  Suneoclub Helios Beach Hotel is a wonderful place to stay.

  Just had a two week stay and it was fantastic, the hotel welcome you with a nice refreshing drink. We arrived before 14:00 which is the time before check in but they gave us our wrist bands and told us we could wait at the pool side swim up bar (which was not a bad thing). Once checked in we were shown to our room by the bell boy/girl, the rooms are standard but nice, the bed was comfortable, there was a fridge in the side cabinet, and the shower room is a wet type with a fully tiled floor. Hair dryer was also available. The rooms get cleaned every day except Sundays, it seemed to me that the maids wanted to clean the room really early as they are banging about around seven in the morning. The hotel has two restaurants one is day to day food and the other is Bulgarian themed. The pool is a fair size and there were enough sun loungers, no need to get up early and reserve one. Bar is decent with the normal local beer and spirits which if you like them strong then you will be OK, if you want normal measures you will have to ask them for one but I had no complaints. The hotel does have free water but you have to have your own water bottle as you can fill it up as and when you want, they had a water station in the main restaurant, lobby bar and pool bar. If you fancy a drink outside of the hotel there are loads of places to go within walking distance, the main square is a five minute walk which is great on a night time. There is a bar ten meters away from the hotel on the beach and you can purchase cans if you fancy them on the beach. There is a fresh water stream ten minutes from the hotel if you are into fishing, which you can catch little fish with bread. The hotel has a shop in it, but there is a local supermarket Aldo which is a little cheaper if you want to save money. Ozbor is nothing like Sunny Beach its far quieter but still a lovely place for a holiday. *But the main thing about this hotel which made our stay fantastic were the animation team, they are wonderful. Always smiling, their energy never seems to run out. I cannot praise them enough for all the hard work they put in to make our stay fun and entertaining. I would defiantly go back.   Great Place

  Just came back from 14 night stay, great holiday, staff are nice and friendly. Hotel is clean and the rooms are basic but very clean. Cant fault this Hotel for anything really. The animation team were very good, Sonia, Andreas, and Lucy. Lucy has the energy of ten men and never stopped running around, must be drinking Red Bull all day. Food is good, pool is fine, and everything is in walking distance. Nice quiet resort.
