Lovely view but not so lovely B&B

The view of the B&B is absolutely stunning and the owner is really friendly, but unfortunately it doesn't quite work out with the rooms. Everything was rather old and very used and even though I'm not a picky person I think it could have done with a real spring clean...

    Good location

Pretty good location on the outskirts of dingle, and not too expensive. However, the room was dated, and uncomfortable sheets (probably nylon). It is functional if you have no other place to stay though.

    The Worst Place Ever

Stayed here a week ago on a trip through Ireland. Had read the other not so good reviews but booked it because of the location. Believe me that is all it has going for it. The gentleman who runs it is very nice but he should not be an Inn Keeper. The bottom sheet on our beds was a bed skirt that was tucked in under the Mattress and was none too clean. I slept on top of the sheets cause it gave me the creeps. The shower was not clean, a foam rubber type mat was laying on the floor of the show with a cut out hole in it, the mat was covered with mold as was the outside of the shower. I did not take my socks off because it was not clean in the entire room. The In Room coffee, which was a jar with instant coffee was dusty. The next morning the gentleman came into the dining room (9 am breakfast) with 2 bowls of already poured cereal, which we did not eat, I'm sure he put it back in the box it came from. Breakfast was two hard poached eggs and two pieces of bacon, no choices, it was what you got. All of the tables were set in advance and ours had oj already poured. When I looked at the other place settings, I noticed that the glasses were really dirty. I'm sorry folks I did not eat here. I have never given a place a rating as bad as this one and I'm not that picky. Just be forewarned!

    Excellent location, dated property

I think the previous reviews overexaggerated the issues with this property. We found it clean, though dated, with comfortable beds and okay bathrooms. It is not the luxury accommodations we had before and after, but the host is amiable and the location is great. Our room overlooked the water and the hills. The heat was turned on in the late afternoon. This was no different than in the more luxurious B&Bs we stayed in in our week around Ireland. The walk downtown Dingle is just right to stretch your legs. This is certainly no luxury B&B, but not nearly as bad as some of the previous comments make it sound.
