  Exceptional service

  Booked this hotel are a few weeks of travelling around in hostels, and it was perfect. The cost was very reasonable for a high quality 4* hotel. Our rooms were big, cleaned regularly and had decent air conditioning. The most stand out feature were the reception staff who could not have been more helpful and polite. I'd highly recommend investing in a massage which is discounted if you stay in the hotel. It's slightly more expensive than others but the difference in quality is notable. In terms of food the breakfast has a number of tasty different options from Vietnamese to Western. Would definitely recommend staying here.

  Poorly advertised

  We booked this hotel for a large family vacation . Because we were traveling with children a must have for us was a pool, the pool and fitness room were never open during our stay due to private functions held in the the pool location . The breakfast buffet was yuck we paid extra for our children to eat at a breakfast buffet that we could not eat at. Elevators were always full due to the private functions. All in all we paid for a 4 star hotel that did not offer the amenities .

  Disappointed!

  We stayed here on a family holiday. Rooms were very spacious and clean. The pool was closed everyday and there was a function on every night with very loud music. Buffet was disappointing. Lots of options but food was not very nice. Elevators were very slow! I would not recommend this hotel.

  Worst hotel experience I have ever had. I have travelled a lot.

  Advertised as 4 star, experience was 1 star at best. Hotel appears nice in photos yet is very rundown. Fire alarm switches next to the lifts have been removed and exposed as bare wires. Skybar which is advertised as a feature is accessible by the lifts but unopened for use (closed for a long time) and is extremely filthy, still has Christmas decorations up. Both our hotel rooms we stayed in lacked table chairs on the balcony yet there were loads laying around in the unused Skybar. Room cleaning is very poor, floors only partially mopped the only thing they did in the toilet was put a triangle on the toilet paper, dirty cups not removed / replaced with clean ones. Safe in the room was not bolted down. I could easily pick it up and walk out the room, so much for security. Bedlinen was not fitted and very poor quality. Fridge is not cold, not even cool (in both our rooms). Three elevators for 25 floors and 286 rooms and only two of which were working, always full, very long delays. On checkout I waited 30 minutes for an elevator and eventually had to cart my suitcases down 14 flights of stairs to get to my shuttle bus on time to get to the airport. Breakfast was appallingly bad, worst buffet ever. I could only eat the eggs, toast and coffee. Very budget breakfast food. Bavico appears to be catering only for budget Chinese tourists by the busloads. Hotel had a lot of guests, no westerners though, almost all from China except a few from Russia. Not a place setup for westerners. Very few staff understood English, a few were friendly most were not, most were very young. Not a good location, too far from the town centre, too far from the beach poor transit too and from the beach by shuttle, seriously we walked instead of taking the shuttle as the driver was very rude and always appeared to be sleeping in the shuttle whenever passed. Pool was opened but every time I checked it out it was empty, and still had a stage crossing the pool that was used for a wedding ages ago. Electrical lighting cables dangling (falling off) from the stage crossing directly over the pool, this felt unsafe but the lights were off at least. They have a beer and wine bar next door and when we asked to buy some wine they said they have no wine, only beer. No good shops nearby, feels like the poor end of town. The hotel seriously lacked atmosphere, rooms were large but lacked any character. No power outlet near the jug. I had one working reading lamp beside my bed the other room did not have any suitable reading lamps. They demanded too keep our passport for the entire stay, this is the only hotel I have experienced to do this. Seriously, there is nothing good at all to say about this hotel. We could not wait to leave this hell hole.

  Construction in the hotel Be aware that most rooms here have construction noice starting from 9AM, which will wake you up for sure. Changing rooms is difficult because of poor english and emphatic skills of the staff.
