  Realmente caro para lo que es

  a sido una estancia bastante desastrosa. El dia anterior a la llegada recibimos un email del dueño preguntando si vamos a ir o no... Confirmamos que sí, y responde diciendo que tiene un problema con el baño de la habitación, que huele mal pero la están arreglando. Nos dice que nos ofrece quedarnos en otro hotel, de un amigo, pero se niega a darnos la dirección, sólo se la da al conductor que cogemos para que nos lleve, todo muy extraño. Al día siguiente al previsto por fin podemos ir al hotel, para empezar NO está donde se describe, sino a 20 minutos largos en moto/coche, pasando por un camino complicado, sin asfaltar, y con una cuesta con inclinación de unos 45 grados. Llegamos a la habitación, para empezar la que nos da en un principió no es como la de las fotos, la segunda cama está sobre el suelo. Además huele a pis estancado, como de murciélago, asqueroso y super fuerte. Nos dice que al día siguiente nos cambia a otra habitación que sí tiene dos camas, pero en el momento estaba ocupada por otros. Tras varias horas en las que el olor no desapareció nos quejamos, la contestación fue que no podían hacer mucho y "todos los hoteles de Kuta parecían estar llenos"... Finalmente se dió cuenta de que el mal olor era por mala limpieza en la ducha. Descubrimos que aparte del mal olor la habitación que nos han dado estaba previamente ocupada por otros, con lo cual no es sólo el mal olor sino que no hay ningún tipo de organización. De hecho, el día que salimos descubrimos que unos franceses llevaban dos noches en otros hoteles ya que debían haber estado en nuestra habitación. Todos los precios de transporte/motos etc son mucho mayores que en el pueblo de Kuta. Echamos a lavar ropa y volvió casi dos dias más tarde oliendo a ceniza, además de que cobraron lo que les dió la gana. El desayuno deja mucho que desear, lo único comestible son los cereales. Las pancakes saben a jabón, y nos cobraron por el segundo desayuno al no haber podido comernos las pancakes. En resumen, el hotal no merece el precio exigido de ninguna forma, la calidad de servicio es bastante mala, y el sitio es un timo de principio a fin. Las vistas son muy bonitas y se ven muchas estrellas por la noche, eso sí. El wifi funciona media hora al día en total; y por mucho que digan ser Australianos los dueños, la realidad es que el dueño es de Lombok y habla un inglés bastante nefasto.

  Blue Monkey made our trip to Lombok so memorable!!

  It was our first trip to Lombok and Blue Monkey made our stay nothing short of memorable. Firstly, the view of Areguling Bay from the Blue Monkey Villas and Resto is INSANE!!! One of the most beautiful views Ive witnessed. My fiancé and I (he proposed to me on the hill above Blue Monkey ) also really enjoyed the peacefulness of the place. Its private and quiet and super relaxing, but only a short drive to Kuta if youre keen for more restaurants and shopping and nightlife. However, I found the food at Blue Monkey to be phenomenal so we didnt leave much. Our villa was spacious and clean and the bed was super comfortable. I also really enjoyed lounging by the infinity pool. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming and eager to assist us with any of our needs. We were also super grateful for the Manager, Jeff. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and gave us great advice for things to do and see, as well as surf spots, and cool restos and shops in town. We will most definitely be coming back to Blue Monkey again!

  Views were great But just too isolated for us....

  Pros.... Great views, good pool, biggish hut rooms...good location if ur driving a car and a surfer.. Cons.... terrible road leading to hotel, so we didn't hire scooters, very isolated unless ur surfing, restaurant always seemed to be Out of everything we ordered off the menu, and the constant Power outs was the final straw... we cut days off our stay..

  Romantic Sunrise View

  Rick create BlueMonkey Villas a great place to stay, comfy and he works with our locals. We had a Sea front facing room, the accomodation are simple and clean, value for money and quiet. The view is amazing, 7 minutes walks from Areguling Beach. The google map shown the wrong path of reaching this place, but I like this place and their simple service, feel like home and definately will be back again. Love

  Hostel experience at hotel price.

  We stayed for 10 days in one of the double rooms with sea view. Pros: Beautiful view, comfy bed, decent size room, 2 small pools so it's never too crowded, parking spot, good selection of movies to watch in the room. Cons: Where to start... 1) The price!! I can't believe how much we paid for our 10 night stay compared to what we got ($83 per night approx.). We thought that by splashing out a bit we would be guaranteed some quality accommodation. How wrong we were. It should be noted that we were there over Xmas so expect that costs do increase during those few days, however, for the remainder of our time there, there was no-one else or very few people staying there. 2) Untrustworthy staff. We found out when we got home that $200 had gone from my husbands bag that had stayed in the hotel for the duration of the trip. We kept our door locked anytime we weren't in our room but had to leave our key for cleaning during the day because they only have 1 key for each room (!!!). I am sure they are not all untrustworthy and some of them were very lovely (lady in the kitchen and the young boy working there in particular). 3) No door to the bathroom/toilet. Seriously. Just a shower curtain between the bedroom and toilet and a wall that doesn't go all the way up to the ceiling. Awkward. I'm not that close to anyone in my life. $83 a night and no toilet privacy. 4) Poor WiFi. Due to the staff sitting and using it all day it would run out so checking surf reports, eateries, things to do, etc. became tiresome/difficult. We did have 4G on our phones, but signal is not great up there. We had no signal in our room for either wifi or 4G. 5) No satellite TV (as advertised). 6) Directions. We were aware of the difficulty of driving on the road up to the 'hotel', so we had no issues with that, however, it didn't help that google maps has the location in the wrong place. This could be easily solved with a couple of signs along the road but the 'hotel' hasn't got round to doing this (despite a reviewer mentioning this back in September). 7) No fridge in the room (however, we were able to use a common fridge in the restaurant) 8) Staff are super lazy. It wouldn't take much to make this a great place but it's not going to happen under the current management/staff. 9) Ran out of water on 2 days. It took trying to flush a toilet to be told this - staff knew but hadn't informed any of the guests. It was resolved within a few hours on both occasions. 10) Flies everywhere. This did seem to be a general problem on the island but the hygiene of the kitchen did not seem to be great and when asking for a knife on numerous occasions a swarm of flies would be disturbed when they got one out of the cutlery rack. We did not eat here other than for the already paid for breakfast. 11) Got asked if we would move rooms one day as the new guests had asked for good air con! We declined (aircon was fine but we had it on 16 deg. for the entire time - in comparison, I would normally sleep at 23 deg. in the same environment). I would not recommend staying here - there are definitely better options for a better price.
