  Surprise 80th

  I called up to book a table for 10 at quite short notice for my nans birthday. Straight away it was simple and easy. The menu was sent and we pre ordered due to the number of people. We were allowed to go down early and decorate the table. I cant remember her name but the lady who helped me organise it was lovely and very funny and helped with the surprise. The food was lovely and everyone enjoyed themselves. Thankyou for a lovely meal.

  Really lovely rooms

  Very large rooms, has a slight old school feel about them which I really liked. Big bath too and I loved the soaps provided in the bathrooms they smelt amazing! Good breakfast in the morning as well. Also really liked the quaint little bar, even if it was just a tad overpriced.

  Great place to stay....

  Just stayed here for a week. Great location, the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast and evening meal was amazing. Thanks very much indeed, will definately be coming again and fully recommend it...

  Delicious homemade Sausage rolls!

  I held a small wake of 22 people at the Boxmoor Lodge Hotel. Mark was lovely to deal with, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely high tea type buffet with plenty of tea/coffee - the sausage rolls were a particular highlight - everyone said so!

  Motel style hotel

  We booked this hotel last minute, we wanted somewhere close to Harry Potter tour. We also choose this hotel based on its breakfast reviews. After booking we had an email too say they were not serving breakfast. When we arrived there was a notice that the reception was closed and to call a number to book in. The owners wife arrived about 5 minutes later. She gave us as large bag of breakfast provisions - porridge, croissants, muffins, cereal bars, apples, juice and tea/coffe sachets. The room was a lovely large room with a comfortable sofa bed for our son. There bathroom was large and a lovely hot shower. If I'm being really picky the room furnishings looked a little tired, but on the whole the room was light, airy and clean.
