  Worse worse service I have ever received from a Hotel staff, There is a lady by the name of Tia who came around as very racist and unprofessional. The restaurant's staff is also very unprofessional, poorly trained if any and highly demotivated. I would not recommend this place for anyone. DO NOT GO THERE.

  Simply horrible!

  The worst hotel in our 14 days of travel through Botswana and Namibia! Old and worn in every sense... Décor was old, carpets were worn and dirty, airconditioners didn't work and many of the rooms had NO water. Unfriendly staff and breakfast was dismal. Travelling in a large party with overseas guests made it particularly disappointing. AND the rates were ridiculously high.

  Holiday trip

  What an absolute joke this place is. To look at it from the road it looks ok, but as soon as you attempt to engage with a mono-syllabic receptionist, who cannot smile, forgets the tv remote and doesn't know why the wifi will not work. She's beyond useless. The bathroom is dangerous, no non slip bath mat for the shower over the bath, no hold rail to prevent falls, one small towel, no soap (but a foul smelling liquid in a squirty bottle)... And the bathroom smells. Hey, the toilet flushes! At R860 a night for a single bed and a 'breakfast' the owners of this place should really hang their heads. There is nothing, nothing to be proud of. A disgrace. Oh, and don't eat the chops - they are pure rubber. Avoid at your peril!

  What a disgrace for Namibia!!

  What a disgrace. After our terrible experience, it leaves the question whether the Canyon Hotel actually has an owner, owners or even a manager. The Canyon Hotel has been an oasis for us as a family. We last stayed there in 2015. Previously as a family we even stayed with our dog and have only fond memories of this. What greeted us after a long drive was nothing short of dismal. We were greeted by a friendly staff member, who informed us that we could not book in and this at 3pm!!! Please tell me at which hotel do they still clean rooms at 3pm?! We then proceded to the swimming pool that in it's best description resembled a dam on a farm. So green we couldn't see the bottom! Luckily Keetmanshoop has other accomodation, which as our saving grace could accommodate us at short notice. Please, please avoid it at all. And most of all DO NOT TRUST OR BELIEVE THE PHOTOS YOU SEE.

  Stop over to be missed

  The personnel was friendly, the rooms inadequate, there was no coffee, milk, sugar or teaspoons available in some of our rooms, we booked 4 rooms for the one night. Breakfast was a total disaster for the 8 of us. I will not recommend this establishment.
