  Best B&B!

  We stayed at this lovely, historic B&B for 3 nights and had the pleasure of indulging in 3 wonderfully delicious breakfasts! Jim & Russell (and Watson & Ranger) made our mini vacation feel like a home away from home. They are amazing hosts and are so very knowledgeable about the Carrier Houses and their histories, and offered some awesome suggestions for restaurants and things to do locally/in Asheville. We will most definitely be returning ASAP, as well as every NC visit in our future

  Christmas everywhere in town & beyond

  My experience was an absolutely unforgettably glowing experience, The Carrier House is a most immaculate & warm historical home one could possibly book during the Christmas season. The access to the home & the room itself is exceptionally quaint & safe. The staff is most hospitable & quite informative regarding all history of the home as well as the extensively celebrated nearby towns & local festivities. A+++. Do not let the season pass you by without a visit to the Carrier House, Forest City, The Equestrian Center & so much more. You will be greeted with a quick overview, a map & a spectacular holiday lights extravaganza!

  Amazing B&B

  I had to make an emergency visit to NC which included changing dates at the last minute. Jim and Russel were very accommodating and amazing hosts. The property is beautiful, the room was comfortable, breakfast was stellar, and the attention to detail throughout is very impressive. I couldnt have been any happier with my stay. I highly recommend the Carrier Houses if you are visiting Rutherfordton.

  Fabulous!

  Spent the night last night. Ranger and Watson were excellent hosts. Oh, yes, Jim and Russell, their people were equally great. Beautiful historic homes and antiqueities. Warm, cozy, happy atmosphere. Gardens enchanting even in rain and a bit of snow. Fabulous breakfast. 5 stars. Kudos to chef Jim. Kudos to Russell. Very attentive to a solo guest traveling without her spouse in tow. Safe, secure environment. Will go again. Bravo!

  Treat yourself!

  Treat yourself to a stay at this luxurious Inn! The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean! All protocols are being meticulously observed so you will feel comfortable staying here! Our visit began with learning the history of the almost 200 year old houses! We then adjourned to our lovely room with ample room to spread out! While we were getting our complimentary coffee and fresh homemade cookies we took a peek in to the other unoccupied rooms on our floor. They were equally as spacious! With the beautiful antiques and linens you will feel like you are stepping back in time but with the updated bathrooms and entertainment you will enjoy all of the comforts of home! Breakfast was an amazing bounty of gourmet food prepared by your friendly Innkeepers, Jim and Russell. Rumor has it they have availability for Valentines! Quick! Grab your beloved and get away from it all!
