  Not worth the price

  Nice staff, but this hotel needs badly an update. The hotel is obviously on low budget both on staff and maintenance. They serve evening supper but when we arrived one hour before closing time, there was not much left. The pillows in the bed smelled old and dusty. Wouldn't go there again.

  Good Hotel in Halden

  We stayed for a night when visiting Halden in September. The hotel was easy to find, has free parking, including Tesla destination charger. Check in was smooth and the room we got was of a good size and all was clean. Evening meal, which was included, was excellent. The same with breakfast next morning. We were very satisfied with our stay and will use this hotel when visiting Halden in the future. Thank you.

  Good hotel but could be better

  Stayed here for a couple of weeks while working on new factory being built nearby and hotel was ideally located for us but also for visiting Halden itself. First week had a single room and although bed was slightly larger than a single the room was small and badly lit. Second stay was in one of the doubles which was better but again badly lit and had to walk around the room to switch various lights off and rooms dated. Staff were excellent especially Oliver who made us very welcome and the breakfast has plenty of choice both hot and cold but the evening meal which is something different every night needs to be monitored more by staff as after eight o clock the food was only warm at best and could do with a sauce sometimes as a bit dry but food was really good. Would have given it five stars but for these reasons. Would stay here again though.

  Worn hotel, bad breakfast and not very central. Ok beds and cleaning, though.

  This hotel is not very central. The beds are ok, and the clealiness of the rooms ok, but the breakfast is disappointing. The cold food is put out to dry in large portions, so that the cheese gets crust and the salami is hard in an outer ring. Also, the warm section of the breakfast buffet was almost cold. Cold egg, cold bacon, cold sausages. At best just a little lukewarn.

  Lovely hotel in a lovely city

  I stayed here one night on a business trip in Spetember 2020. The staff was extremely friendly and service minded. All Covid-19 safety measurements were visible and well taken care of. Beautiful and very comfortable room. The evening buffet (included in the rate) was very good with lots of vegetablesand the breakfast was also delicious, even if the hotel was not fully booked. I highly recommend this hotel in this lovely small city. Next time I will stay here with better time to see the sights.
