Nice appartmentWe just arrived from our one week trip to Sardegna. We werw 8 persons and booked appartments in Capo d'Orso residence and we weren't disappointed because we knew from the start it wouldn't be a luxurious one. The rooms were clean, the kitchen has a big fridge with freezer, microwave, stowe and things you need for cooking.

Simple placeThe unit was clean. No Wifi is provided. One roll of toilet paper is provided, so bring more if needed. The distance to walk between the 2 twin beds was 8 inches. Bring dish soap and bath soaps. Linen and towels provided. Bring google translate.

Capo d'orso marina residence; Palau; SardegnaEquipment (ie kitchen) of apartments poor; air-co causing inondation...Payment of 105 euros fees for maintenance but no maintenance at all....Well situated by the beach and marina of Palau (Sardegna)No restaurant on-site

Nice placeThe Cape of the Bear is actually round the corner on the far side of the next bay - it's easier to see it from the sea, where a weathered granite tor vaguely resembles a bear. The Capo d'Orso complex is at the edge of the town of Palau, but it's only about ten minutes walk along the beach from the town. Reception is tucked away a bit - follow the signs for Ricevimento. Most of the other guests are Italian - I don't think I noticed any other Brits at all, and all the cars had Italian plates. We were there mid-September, so perhaps there would be more in high season, though probably not many. You may think that is a good thing - I could not possibly comment. It's a nice little complex, I think originally set up as a time share. Our apartment is up some steep steps - four apartments around a tiny landing. (The ground floor apartments are much more accessible). Two facing the sea, two facing onto the lane. We had a decent sized kitchen diner, which includes a sofa bed, leading onto a balcony overlooking the sea. Then the bedroom , again with a balcony, but we only used that one for drying towels. Shower / WC / bidet. There is a curious noise from the plumbing any time someone somewhere flushes the loo. After a couple of days we stop noticing. The residence is also the home of Club Esse, who run a dozen or so holiday camps around Italy. I wasn't entirely sure where Club Esse fitted in - nobody seemed to mind when we used the sunbeds etc (usually in Italy this is chargeable). I noticed that the Italians all had blue wristbands but nobody seemed to be checking. They had entertainment, which was mostly a very noisy and irritating DJ who loved the sound of his own voice more than he liked music. I did rather like the belly dancers though. There's a pool, a nice pool, on the terrace overlooking the sea, but everyone was lying on the loungers and deckchairs by the beach instead. We tended to go off exploring, but it was nice to slob out on the loungers after a hot day. Temperatures were low 30s in mid September.

A fine resortFor the most it was good. Pity that the beach beds were only for the guests of Posada and not for residense multipriority capo d' orso marina. The resort is good and lies near the centrum of Palau with many restaurants and bars.
