  Decent place, no complaints

  We only stayed here for one night before we went into the park, but we had no issues at all. The room was nice, it was quiet. My daughter went down to see about getting milk for my granddaughter and she said that there were a bunch of cops escorting an older woman out. If she hadn't seen it, we wouldn't ever have known it was going on cause we never heard anything. They had a pretty good breakfast and I was able to get coffee before breakfast actually started.

  Clean, comfortable, and convenient

  Stayed here on a brief visit to the Dunes. Room was clean and comfortable, and despite the proximity to the highway, quiet (at least until some family thought it would be fun for their kids to play tag and throw tantrums in the hallways in the early morning -- definitely outside the hotel's control). Bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was nice. We also enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was so-so, but it was free.

  An Off-Season Steal!

  Is this the best motel I've ever stayed in? No, but for the price I can't complain about much. The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable. The location is convenient within a short drive for many popular attractions. Your cost includes a basic free breakfast buffet, WiFi and free local newspaper, not the ubiquitous USA Today. And I have to say that the vending machines were well-stocked and reasonably priced. Rooms include a microwave and refrigerator. There's fast food just down the street, and you're a reasonable drive from just about anything you might want in Portage. A few minor concerns (again for what we paid, I'm not complaining, but I know for some folks these might be deal-breakers.) There is only one ice machine. The breakfast buffet is pretty meh, and the coffee was brown water. (However there was a nice selection of tea as well as instant hot chocolate.) Towels are switched out every three days unless requested. I reuse towels at home, so when I travel I appreciate the small luxury of having a fresh towel daily. As we traveled in November, rates were lower than in the warmer months, but when I ran July dates for comparison, the cost was still quite reasonable. Definitely someplace I would consider staying again.

  They arent full and made us stay on the 3rd floor with no elevator

  This place is something else! Price is decent and they do have a pool but have barely any guests and made us stay on the 3rd floor knowing I had an 2 babies and a 6 year old. After having us pay they let us know we cannot use the elevator!! I have a stroller with the infant carrier to get up the stairs and they would not help but I asked for a crib and the a**hole employee used the elevator and brought it up!!!!!!!! I know they have rooms open on the first floor and the second floor would have sucked but wouldnt have been terrible. This is just ridiculous!!!

  Better than Average Comfort Inn

  This hotel is a modern, interior-corridor, three-story hotel located at an exit right off I-94. It is very convenient to the center of Indiana Dunes National Park. The service is fully adequate and the rooms large and furnished in standard fashion for Comfort Inns. It has a pool, fitness center, wi-fi and a good cable selection. It is in a bit of a food desert with no family restaurants in the area and only fast food in truck stops close by, none of them within walking distance. Breakfast is limited due to Covid. While there is nothing here to really rave about, it is priced fairly, clean, decent service and good rooms. No reason to spend more if a mid-priced hotel is your preference.
