  Great Consistent Property in Binghamton

  Im currently visiting this extremely enjoyable location and have stayed here quite often for both work and pleasure over the past several years. Its the closest Marriott when I work in NE Pennsylvania and worth the 55-minute drive each way to/from Binghamton! Disclosure: Im a Lifetime Platinum and currently Titanium. Besides its cleanliness, comfort and pool/Jacuzzi, its truly the staff who makes it feel like home. I often have special requests or complicated changes in my itineraries, and the staff is nothing less than accommodating in a way that makes you feel at ease when you start feeling that maybe youre asking a bit much. They never once made me feel uncomfortable! They truly do their best to satisfy every request. Shout outs to their General Manager Gwenda and the usual staff during my visits Ariana (day) and Chris (evening). There are others but forgive me for not recalling their names as of this writing. I could go on an on, but the bottom line is that its a great place to stay when youre in Binghamton. Also, plenty of restaurants, stores, pharmacy, etc., within a short walk or drive. And with any review, there must be at least one issue that needs attention: I wish the pool was open 24/7 :-) Thank you.

  Very Nice

  This property is well maintained and updated. The front desk staff member we dealt with was very welcoming and professional. The next time I'm in the Binghamton region, I would definitely stay here again - this was my second time at this property. I have stayed at other hotels in the region, but this hotel is the nicest and cleanest hotel in the region. Plus, they have a cute little indoor pool and hot tub. I highly recommend as a safe bet.

  Typical Courtyard - Pleasant Place to Staty

  I have stayed here a couple of times on business. It is a fairly typical Courtyard hotel. I had stayed at another Courtyard a few weeks before and it had only minor differences. The hotel is very clean, it has nice rooms, good wi-fi, and is quiet. Service is very good. The hotel has free parking. It has a very small pool and fitness center. The hotel has a restaurant called the Bistro. Food is good but the prices aren't that great and it quickly adds up. It is a convenient option if you don't want to go out. Breakfast is also not free, except for the coffee.

  Bad News Stay with Dog

  I am 70 and was traveling with a service dog and called ahead to make sure the Mariott knew, however, the man at the desk became overly ballistic when I walked in with my dog. He didnt ask about what type of dog, he just told me I couldnt bring dog in (including me) even when I explained he was service dog and I had papers upstairs. I recently lost my husband and was in Binghamton to visit family. This hotel was the rudest hotel I have come across in a long time. Because I could not hear him well I leaned in to hear him and he accused me of being aggressive. He was very loud and overly rude, and not just with me. It was observed that he was the same with other customers. Ironically he watched me sign in the day before and didnt say anything about the dog. I would recommend any place to stay in Binghamton except for this hotel. I talked with a lawyer the same evening who told me that what he did was illegal, besides being rude.

  Nice stay

  When writing my reviews, I try to keep my expectations in mind. Ive written five star reviews for the Four Seasons. Ive given the Waldorf in Chicago less than five stars. This random Marriott in Vestal (Binghamton) NY gets five. This is a nice, clean basic mid-level hotel. Its in a more commercial part of town, but still quiet. Has a pool and fitness center, which are closed due to regulations. Also has a bistro, also closed. Has a guest laundry, which is important to me. Has a small pantry, which is nice when you get thirsty in the middle of the night. Unlike other Marriotts Ive been to, no waters left in the room. Housekeeping only by request right now, due to COVID. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are all so super nice, particular Sue and Chris. There was another member whose name I didnt get, who was also great. Rates are reasonable. They have flexible plans for everyone. Recommended.
