  Very nice, relaxing stay.

  I was invited there with my 2 sisters-in-law by my mother-in law. We had 2 lovely, comfortable, very spacious double rooms.The spa treatments were divine. The hotel is a little bit older, so before having a shower, you need to let the hot water flow out for at least 5 min. before it gets really warm. Nice kitchenette with complimentary coffee and tea. Restaurant was nicely decorated, food was delicious. Seervice staff was very attentive. I would recomment it to friends and couples.

  Not Family friendly

  I booked a romantic weekend here last summer for my wife and I with our 4 year old son. It was a treat for my wife, as she was pregnant then with our new born at the time. It cost me 500 for 2 nights, with dinner and breakfast included, in a " Suite " !! The Suite was not that at all, it was just a Family room. And average. The restaurant itself was ok, albeit the place was as hot as a Sauna. The problem really was it is NOT kid friendly at all. We felt so uncomfortable at dinner in the restaurant, surrounded by old fiddy Diddy's that the second night we ate in our room!! The place was full of old, wealthy Germans, whom clearly were never kids themselves! The hotel is ok, it claims to be 4 star, but no !! It is really more like a 3 star. The staff are friendly, but that is the only plus! I basically wasted 500 for a 2 night stay, simply not worth it. Go elsewhere.

  A super little hotel with an amazing spa

  Stay in this hotel for business and has a wonderful time. The receptionist, Laura, was amazing making our stay very comfortable and pleasant. The restaurant served good food to a high quality and the bar prices were reasonable. The hotel also has a fantastic spa where i could have spent all day. Hope to visit again real soon

  richard strauss resided in this noble villa about a hundred years ago

  also called 'residence von dapper', this hotel is located in walking-distrance to the railway station (150 meters) and to the city of bad kissingen (250 meters). it is located in the villa-area of bad-kissingen on a road closed to through-traffic, thus there is really no noise at all, only villas and trees. the hotel offers sauna and an indoor-swimming-pool, as well as an excellent restaurant (serving a fantastic breakfast which normally is included in the rate). parking is free during weekends along the road. while the hardware is solid by german standards, the software lacks experience at times, but people are actually very nice if you get to know them. i can't confirm the negative reviews i read through before i came. it is interesting to note that this hotel is best booked directly through their own website or by calling them. the commissions the portals charge are added onto those rates, thus it's about 15% less to book through the hotel directly. kudos to the owners who are truly independent! at about usd 55 including breakfast, it will be my choice during my next visit to bad kissingen.

  Great Stay, Nice Spa but Unfriendly Welcome

  What a nice place. The room is really big with a separate living room. A nice but small bathroom. The room is located in a quiet area. The breakfast is amazing with a real deluxe spread as well with friendly staff. The indoor pool is grand, with many massage spray outlets as well a sauna area where one can use it unclothed. Really a nice experience. On the downsize the lady who checked us in on the arrival date, was moody, rude and really not switched on. Not helpful at all. A black mark unfortunately for a very pleasant stay.
