  Sweet place

  We stayed here 1 night. It is a bit out of the way and that's part of the charm. It's so quiet and peaceful. The rooms are kind of dark and rustic. Carpet could use a little spiffing up but the bathroom has been updated nicely. We enjoyed our night's stay. The restaurant has tasty food but they were very slow and maybe a little short staffed.

  Lovely hotel, great location, excellent service

  I live locally, and had never needed a local hotel until recently when we had a group of friends coming to visit for a few days. I investigated this hotel and was immediately taken by the tranquil location and the lovely buildings. I contacted them to arrange a visit and to discuss the needs of my group and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I went to visit, and was shown round the hotel, including as many rooms as I wanted to see. The bar area was nice, with an attractive outside seating area, and a restaurant which had a good menu and could cater to the dietary needs of our party - vegetarians, gluten free etc. After the booking the staff were equally helpful, and answered my questions quickly and accurately, including handling cancellation of some of the rooms with no problems at all. When my group of friends came over last week, they were all equally impressed with the location of the hotel. The rooms were completely fine for them and the bathrooms were modern and clean. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was good and reasonably priced for Luxembourg. The bar and outside seating area were also a hit. Everyone slept well and praised the tranquil location for helping them relax. I think the only minor issue that was raised the whole stay was that there was only one pillow per person in the room, but as soon as another was requested at reception more pillows were found, despite the lady being on her own and rather busy. I would definitely use this hotel again if we had more visitors we couldn't accomodate and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

  Visit to 74th anniversary of battle of bulge

  We planned a trip to the anniversary of battle of the bulge in Bastogne. As we were late to find a place to stay close to Basrogne we found this hotel. The hotel is situated outside a small village in the north of Luxembourg. It is in a valley with a forest. The rooms are nice with pine furniture and a superb bathroom. You are allowed to bring your dog which is also allowed in the café part of the restaurant. The food is the same though as in the restaurant. We had a very good dinner with deer steak. In the restaurant there was also an open fire and lots of nice Christmas decorations. Great stay. Be prepared that english is not there strong point. For example. Deer is mother of Bambi.

  Excellent place to hide

  The kind of place to go to when you want to get away from the everyday routine and just relax. It is in the middle of nowhere down in a valley and surrounded by the forrest. Excellent hikes just around the corner from the hotel. There is also a small memorial in the courtyard honouring the people who lost their lives during the battle of the bulge. The rooms are nice, especially the bathrooms they had a recent make over which makes the rest of the room seem a bit dated, but it was clean and the bed is comfortable. Very nice and helpful staff.

  Beautiful scenery

  Stayed at this hotel during November for 1 night. Room was old and very small. Bathroom was ok. The worst thing was in terms of hygiene during Covid. We were assigned 2 twin beds room as a couple as there was not full 1 bed room available and the second bed had no bedsheets!!! Seriously! The corridors are rundown with very depressing deco. Breakfast was just bearable. On the positive note, the yard and the pub are nice, very beautiful setting. Peaceful, quite and in the middle of stunning nature. Seriously!
