  Un buen hotel en dresden alemania

  Las habitaciones son sensacionales. El personal correcto aunque la mayoria no saben ingles ni español. Solo aleman. Volveria. Porcierto enalemania se come muy mal. Pero no es culpa del hote sino de su cultura. Este hotel en españa seria cinco estrellas en algunos casos. Claro que eso no es ninguna novedad teniendo encuenta que en españa los hoteles como norma general tienen mas estrellas de las que se merecen.

  And the breakfast!

  I was looking for an inexpensive layover in Dresden and stumbled on Dormero. It was just what I wanted. Far enough from old town to be a bargain but close enough to walk. The price was right, the room was comfortable and very well laid out, and the staff incredibly friendly. And the breakfast... The FANTASTIC breakfast buffet is reason enough to stay here on its own! An amazing assortment of local and regional foods along with all the standards, well prepared and presented. Far better than many 5 star hotels Ive stayed in that charge 3x the price.

  Loved the bathroom

  The bathroom was small but very efficient and the mirror was not steamed up after a long shower, wish we could buy soap dispensers like that in Canada. Our room was nice clean and spacious. As other people have mentioned the hallway wasnt great, dirty carpets and walls need a paint but it really wasnt a big deal. Location was just ok. Go left out of hotel and then left at the corner to get #75 tram to the old town. Dont recall the stop but it started with a P and you get off when you see the Ferris wheel. There were restaurants, bakery and grocery stores within easy walking distance of hotel. The Donners on the Main Street were awesome! I asked for Dresden info at the front desk and they gave me some lovely books on the region but not much on Dresden. Highly recommend booking some sort of tour in advance if you want any info as there is zero info in English.

  "Free" internet problems and tiny bathroom affected visit

  The hotel is in a nice neighborhood with cafes and small shops around the corner for handy breakfasts. We enjoyed walking past the Grosse Gardens along the lovely tree lined neighborhood of the hotel. Very handy to catch the tram as well. The rooms are clean, but the bathroom and shower so tiny you can barely turn around. (we aren't overweight people). The shower soap container kept falling on the floor, and the cleaning help didn't notice I guess. No counterspace around the sink either. One positive: free drinks in the mini bar, which were replaced daily as used....one beer, soda, juice, etc. A negative: no coffee pot, which is a problem since they don't serve breakfast in their dining room. They advertise free internet, but each day I had problems with my phone and iPad, and the desk clerks had to show me how it worked. Then the next day: same problem. One clerk was okay, but not very helpful....strictly "just the facts, ma'm". Like pulling teeth to get information out of him. However, the last day of our visit, a new staff came on, and the lady was very nice and helpful. I wish I'd have asked her first name. All in all, the neighborhood "kind of" makes up for the negatives.

  Location was ok buit the hotel was not

  Difficult to say why we did not like the hotel. The room a (apartment) was big but with a very unpersonal feel to it. There is no hotel staff until 3 in the afternoon and the area is extremely noisy. All in all I would not recommend it.
