  One Bad Apple

  Most of the staff is super friendly and professional, minus one woman. She put a lot of effort into being unfriendly and seemed pleased with herself for doing so. Dropped ceilings in the room entry and bathroom are awful. This place needs a massive renovation. We won't be returning.

  Excellent stay

  I was very skeptical after reading reviews prior to my stay. I can say nothing bad about this hotel. None of the bad reviews I read where applicable to our stay. The staff was courteous and friendly. The restaurant and room service was great. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and beach. Its a pet friendly hotel which is why we chose this property in addition to having oceanfront balconies. It was everything you could expect from a Hilton property. We will definitely be back!

  Very clean rooms, friendly helpful staff

  Were traveling across the country stopping overnight in places. Double Tree lived up to its expectations. Comfy bed, cozy rooms and courteous staff. Things are a bit different during COVID times with the breakfast set up being particularly modest but it did the job and we are all ready for our next road trip having slept well and our belies full. Our pooch loved the beach walks!

  Bare minimum

  Arrived for one night got the bare minimum parcel ocean front (see pic below), room directly across from elevator , no king bed as requested but twins and a shower that turned out to be a handicapped room. No mask enforcement. Asked to be moved but they said they were booked in FEBRUARY. Bare minimum room gets bare minimum rating. Nothing offered to make up for it $120.00 for crappy off season room

  Great stay

  My husband and I go to Atlantic Beach at least once a year. We previously stayed at what was the Hampton Inn down the road, but rates were cheaper for the DoubleTree when I made reservations back in the fall, plus its beachfront. After reading some recent reviews, I was a little worried but we had a great stay. I checked in on the app and was able to set up the digital key on my phone so we didnt have to go to the front desk upon arriving. The rooms are sanitized and a sticker is placed on the door. You break the seal when you go in. Everything was very clean. We opted for no housekeeping since we were only there for a weekend. The towels seemed relatively new. The outside bar/restaurant is closed because of COVID. The inside restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was grab and go. We got there as it was closing so I dont know everything that they offered but I saw individually wrapped pastries, individually wrapped biscuits (hot), fruit cup, yogurt, dry cereal, oatmeal, granola bars, juice, and coffee. Everything was individually wrapped or in cups with lids. I was not expecting breakfast so this was a plus. Theres a nice pier with some benches. The beach is beautiful. They also have a nice indoor and outdoor pool area. Both pools were open, the fitness room was not. Our room vas fairly spacious. We had a king bed, small table with two chairs, a stuffed chair, desk and chair, microwave, mini fridge, and small coffee maker. The tv and WiFi were great. The only thing with the room that disappointed me was the size of our balcony. It was small and oddly shaped. I dont think we could have fit two chairs on it. But, we had a great view of the sunset. I dont like the placement of the entrances in relation to the parking areas (not the hotels fault) and several lights were out in the parking lot. We didnt encounter many employees but the ones we did were nice. Id definitely stay here again.
