  Not our usual stay

  This hotel has always been our go-to place to stay. We have NEVER been disappointed in the past. This stay was different. PROS: good location, lots of choices in the area; clean; loved that lysol wipes were offered so we could wipe down things in the room; fantastic breakfast server and food even though it was a limited menu CONS: no special greeting for diamond members, no water or cookie offered until we asked; had to change rooms at 7:30 pm due to the pot smell coming into our room. It got really bad. Got kind of a "sorry" from desk staffer. Room we were moved to had a smaller bathroom, very hard mattress and was near the noise from the pool but at least it smelled better. We will give this hotel another try as we are in the area for business pretty regularly but hope for a better stay next time.

  Change in plans will cost you.

  I stayed at this hotel with an original booking 9/16 to 9/19 for personal business. Things worked out in my favor and I was able to leave a day early. I checked out and was told I booked thru 9/19 and would be charged so. When I checked out, however, my charge and bill was accurate minus 9/19 as it should be. I was charged the next day while sleeping in my own bed! This is unfair. I wrote about it then and received a note from Dawn Zimmerman that it would be looked in to. Never heard another reply. Visa attempted to intervene on my behalf and nothing. The charges were withdrawn and replaced! Regarding cleanliness, I returned a strangers belt I found over a chair---was the room cleaned prior to my stay? Breakfast was a disaster as there were stones in my oatmeal that were supposed to be cinnamon. The only bright spot was the friendliness of the AM breakfast staff whol removed the charge for the foul breakfast, and, of course, leaving. So not stay here. Go somewhere where your business is appreciated.

  Great one night stay

  Stayed here on trip between Atlanta and Phily. Hotel was very clean. Our room had seal on door and we used keyless entry and never saw anyone at desk. Room was up to Doubletree standards. Pool was very nice. Large with lounge area with TV. Great area to eat carry in meal. Would definitely stay here again on our way to family in Philadelphia.

  Nice Lobby Dirty Room

  The lobby is welcoming but as soon as you enter the room halls it instantly feels like a seedy hotel - dirty, stained carpet, chipped paint, discolored doors. The bed sheets were so thin it felt like having nothing. The bathroom had a bad design- toilet paper roll at the shower entrance and there was no way to avoid turning on the shower without entering it. This hotel definitely doesnt feel like a Hilton brand hotel.

  Decent Hotel But Tired Rooms

  We were visiting JMU with our daughter and needed a place to stay near campus. While this hotel isn't a bad option, the room had a musty smell upon entry and overall the decor looks a bit worn. The exterior of the hallway doors were marked up from people banging into them with I'm assuming, suitcases. Overall the lobby was presentable and the pool area looked nice.
