Hotel great - bar nah. No GoSo to the bar I go after a very long day. I order a couple (2) drinks and dinner all is great then the bill comes and just dan, its the drinks they knock your head off with - over charging and up charging topped with garbage service. Hate to say it but I chose this hotel due to an on-site restaurant. Do not pay for this atrocity. Also internet didnt work go figure. $ 15 for dinner , $15 per drink plus additional up charges to each drink = $55 for a one person dinner (before any tip have you)

Repeating issues remain unresolvedWe split our stays between this hotel and the Holiday Inn in town to spread our points and while the location of this hotel is better the repeating issues of poor food quality and service in the restaurant hurt the rating of this hotel.

Fascinating architectureWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in great comfort with a reasonable price and a friendly staff. We rented a suite which allowed us two friends to have separate sleeping quarters but enjoy each others' company in the evening. We will definitely stay here again.

Jeff city double treeVery Nice location within walking distance to the capital building and restaurants. A little dated, but the beds and room were clean. Friendly daytime staff. Great meeting space. If you have meetings at the capital its about a 10 minute walk.

Good Choice for Katy CyclistsI stayed one evening while cycling the Katy Trail. The hotel was very welcoming for cyclists, allowing me to bring my bike right to my room. It was an excellent choice for Katy cyclists. The room was clean and comfortable, though somewhat small. As a single person, this didn't really bother me, but it had rained throughout the day so it was a challenge to find places to hang my clothes to dry. I was very happy to dine at the restaurant on the premises so that I didn't have to go back out in the rain. I kept things simple with a veggie burger and it was good. Note, due to the circular shape of the building, the elevators are in the center and I could hear the motors off and on during my stay -- this would probably affect all rooms. I couldn't find a way to turn on a fan for white noise purposes. If you are cycling the Katy, Jefferson City is a bit off the path. You have to take a connector trail to the bridge over the river and then ride a mile or so to the hotel. However, it is a nice diversion with views of the state capitol and availability of banks, bike shops and other sundries.
