  Cozy stay at the Ardennes

  We stayed 2 nights here in September with our dog. The hotel itself was ok (not up to 4 star standard if you think about the room itself), but the staff and service were great! Dog friendly, easy parking, good breakfast and good dinner as well.. no bigger complaints, the rooms (at least ours) need a bit work, but staff/service were great

  Horrible. Worst hotel Ive ever been

  Our family stayed here for 2 nights with multiple rooms. Quality and size of the room varies wildly, all for the same price! On top of that, 3 people of our group got ill with stomach flu. Upon informing the staff they were not surprised since last week a few people got ill in the hotel too?! They just accepted the fact that their old hotel was full of bacteria and viruses. The food we had for dinner was horrendous. Only upside was that the breakfast was OK, and some of the staff are really friendly (definitely not all). Stay away!!

  Charming hotel

  A beautiful and cosy hotel in the Ardennes, with big and well decorated rooms, amazing breakfast, nice bar and nice restaurant. There is also a spa on the first floor. The staff is very friendly. I give only 4 stars because the restaurant is extremely slow, and the meat was too cooked when it was served, which was a bummer. The rest of the experience was really good!

  Nothing special

  Not sure why the whole fuss about how cool this place is. We stayed there 1 night. Nothing super extra special. Nice room. The bed was LARGE, loved it. The food is standard, like in thousands other places in Belgium. On top of it they served me croquettes that were still frozen inside, so I sent them back. Service is nice. Receptionist, restaurant everyone is very friendly.

  Very disappointing

  We booked a superior room for two nights and we expected more than the services we received. Unfortunately, if you consider it as a four stars hotel, they were too many small mistakes and the general feeling at the end was bad: the check-in was very confusing, the breakfast was less good than expected (cheapest ingredients), the floor was not well cleaned, there was a very bad smell obviously coming from the sewers, but the main problem was that we were told nobody would enter the room (no cleaning was planned) and when we came back, the door of our room was wide open, nobody was checking it and the justification from the hotel was very poor. That's a NO GO! PS: the bathtub was nice and Houffalize and the area really worth the trip!
