  Hotel is 2*, fitness center is 4*

  The star of this hotel is the attached fitness center that is often used by the residents of the town. The fitness center is modern and well maintained and offers bowling, tennis, badminton, cardio classes, and spa type treatments. The hotel part is very much an after thought. Pros: Very clean rooms, modern bathroom (including fixtures), price includes unlimited use of the public transit (but all Jena hotels include this). They offer an in-room safe and have excellent hot water in the shower/tub/sink. Cons: In-room wifi is 8-euro per hour! Over a 10 minute walk from the last metro stop on the line. This means it will take you 30 minutes to get anywhere useful during peak times, and up to an hour during off peak, depending on what line is running. The windows in the rooms don't have screens on them, so you will get insects if you leave the window open, but the air conditioning doesn't function well (only seems to move air, not cool the air). There are fewer than 10 tv stations, only one of which is in english, and there are absolutely no signs or written material in english. The breakfast buffet is also a bit of a joke by any standard. All of the bread choices are the floppy soft american style, the fruit salad seemed like it came from a can with some added chunks of apple. All of the juices are from concentrate, and the glasses are only around 4oz. Hotel patrons (mostly saggy Germans) strut around the place in bath robes. I recommend this hotel only if everything else is sold out in Jena. Definitely not a four star hotel.

  Average hotel, Good location

  The fair Hotel is a decent hotel in a excellent location. The rooms were clean and reasonably sized, nothing special. The breakfast was very poor. hey was with difficulty it found person to speak English.

  Good for tired travelers

  We stayed only one night in this hotel in January 2013, happy to be able to get a room because the place was full. Have not used any facilities so can not make a comment. We were given a suite for the price of a double room, little creepy and very basic, but clean. We were satisfied that our bed was comfortable. Breakfast buffet, included in the price, was fantastic with huge variety of everything you would like to have, including very good quality of meat, cheese, bread, pastry, fruit, juice and more. The service was good and staff was very helpful and friendly.

  Great Hotel

  Being in-between jobs we were looking for an inexpensive and yet a good place to have a short holiday... We found this hotel on a local travel website and thought should we book it. The price was unbelievably inexpensive for all-inclusive resort... We took a chance and we were not disappointed... What a wonderful location... You should not compare this resort to any of the well known resorts... That would not be a fair comparison... However Fair Hotel Resort is an unbelievable place for couples or in our case a family of four with one teen aged 17 and the other 14... The food was good and free beer and other drinks gets 2 thumbs up from me. For those of you who think that if its free (or included) it's crap.. You could NOT be further from the truth.. Remember Germany = Great beer ... The wellness center offers a wide range of services and for a reasonable price... Would recommend to anyone that is looking for a good holiday that won't break the pocket...

  Neat easy access hotel with bar party at night

  My parents favorite hotel for its spa, pool area, tennis courts, all you can eat buffets and close location to Jena, Erfurt and Weimar. Not the fanciest hotel, not the newest, but staff is friendly and takes good care. All in all positive recommendation.
