  Traditional Austrian Charm

  A welcoming family run hotel. Cosy bar and lounge entice you. Delicious food in attractive restaurant with panoramic views across the village and ski slopes. Extensive breakfast buffet and cooked food made to order. Attentive and charming staff. Good range of excellent wines and spirits. Pils and Weiss beers to quench your thirst. Easy access ski boot heated store room. Indoor and outdoor childrens play area. Pool table and table tennis. Comfortable and roomy traditionally styled bedrooms, most enjoying super views and with large balconies. Excellent wellness area with decent size swimming pool which we swam in every afternoon after skiing, jacuzzi, plunge pool. Separate adults-only calm room with sauna, steam room, sunbed and refreshments. Ski bus stops in front of hotel, frequency every 10-20 mins. Nearest main ski lifts only 5-15 drive away by bus or car. And Flachau is a superb ski resort! Return and recommend: absolutely!

  Welcoming

  This hotel is amazing specially for families, with it's amazing facilities and staff you feel at home. The food is also very tasty! It also includes an outdoor playground and the location is perfect! I definitely recommend you visit this hotel, definitely will make your stay as awesome as possible!

  Beautiful holidays and New year celebration

  If you are planing a visit to Flachau than I recommend to stay at hotel Forellenhof. This is a family run hotel where you will spend a great holiday. Everybody in the hotel is super nice. At the reception there will always be a nice lady to help you with anything. Great barman Saso will always find a drink you can enjoy at the bar that is really cosy and makes you fell like home. The food is exellent and I must say we travel a lot and are real demanding eaters. Our congrats to the cook! Mrs. Sonja the waitress with her big smile and friendly attitude will make a great start of the day at breakfast with a buffet that offers a lot of various food. Everymorrning there is a little newspaper made by hotel to inform you what is happening that day. Dinner is everyday a surprise and something special, the cook really makes an effort so all of your senses can have a real party. Mrs. Sonja will let you eat in your own rhythm so you can enjoy in your food as long as you want. They have a special menu for kids everyday and they make your kid feel special too. Everything is runinng like a good machine. The view from the restaurant is beautiful as you can watch directly to the Hermann Maier ski track and the rest of Flachau. All the facilites are well maintained. The bar and restaurant are new and really modern and beautiful, the rooms arent new but still they are nice, spacious and very clean. We used the swimming pool, jacuzzi and spa area, they are clean and nice. We spent great last days of the year and also had fun at Silvester (new year) party, great food, good vine, great cahampaigne, good live musik. We meet really nice people. Im sure we will return as soon as posssible as we felt really good at this hotel. Thanks to everybody working there. Great staff, great feeling, exellent food, beautiful town, nice skiing tracks!   Surpassed expectations!

  As it was a last minute booking and our options were limited, I did not know what to expect. However, this hotel surpassed all expectations. The staff were very professional and friendly, they were also understanding and accommodating of dietary requests. The room was spacious and the mattresses comfortable. The breakfast was just superb- there was an excellent amount of choices and options. We also opted for half board and were not disappointed at all- the food was varied and great. The spa facilities were another added bonus and the location is perfect for skiing. Really cannot wait to return.

  No credit cards and bad food

  Despite the restaurant's great and unique location the food does not taste good and we even got sick after eating it. I tried the local Käsespätzle and had diarrhea after eating and felt really bad. Moreover, the food is exceedingly expensive considering the quality and taste of the food itself. All in all, I would not recommend this restaurant and would appeal to the owners to quickly overthink the quality of the food they are buying unless they want their customers walking out feeling sick and angry at the restaurant.
