  A cozy family hotel close to the trails

  Excellent place to stay at when you want to be close to the hiking trails. The hotel is a classic Italian hotel and serves you well. We stayed in a room with view over the mountains with a nice balcony. It was big clean and nice. Beware that there are no lifts in the hotel so you have to walk the stairs. The gym looked ok did not have the time to try it. Splendid view of the valley and the sunset, try to stay in a room with a view. Now to the one thing I always find most important, food and service. Service was very good. You feel like you have come home to a family. The restaurant was very cozy and the food was good. To summaries I do recommend this hotel for you hikers out there!

  Beautiful Setting, Great Location and Value.

  The location is the wonderful. The view outside our balcony was beautiful. The room is small, comfortable and had a separate loveseat for sitting.The staff were very attentive and polite. We used the half board option and would highly recommend it. The food was delicious! It was a bit more formal setting than we usually choose, and we were assigned a table that we dined at each morning and evening. The layout places the tables rather close together. It was a bit uncomfortable to be the only American guests on the property; only a couple of the staff spoke English. This would not prevent us from staying here again.

  Food was not terrific. Especially for the price. Oldish design in general and lot of noise because of many kids. Sauna and wellness ok and nice. Rooms could be renovated. If you want a nice view, calm and design you shoudn't come hete.

  Best hotel in Val Gardena for families

  We have 7 year old twins. This hotel is just great for families, we have looked around a lot and keep coming back to stay at this hotel. I don't think any other hotel in the area can compete with amenities that are offered for families with small children. Once your kids are >7, I'd stay at their other hotel down in Santa Christina, but for small kids, just come here as they really cater to parents with small children. The hotel decor is very traditional, red with lots of wood work. It is not as modern as many of the other hotels in the area, but it is well done and nicely kept up. The food is pretty good, not amazing, but definitely good. We especially appreciate that they provide a little sandwich bar so you can make snacks for the trails, which, again, with small kids, is just so necessary, to always have some snack in your pack. We definitely recommend the 1/2 board, and they will feed your kids in the mini-club if you want time off during dinner. Mini-club is great, free, and they organize lots of activities for the kids and play games. They don't just put them in front of a video and we really appreciated that. The location is great, but it is out of town. We like going up on Col Raiser each morning and liked being the quiet part outside of town. They have enough room for a nice playground and pool. They have a shuttle to take you back/forth but it is just quicker to walk. The spa is very nice, we appreciate all the different steam/sauna options and relaxing area. No kids allowed. I think next time because our kids are older we will stay at their other hotel in santa Christina, only because it is a little nicer and the kids can be in the sauna there, and there are less babies. But, we still aren't sure as we love the location of this hotel up on the hill, outside of town a little. The family that runs these hotels is just fantastic. They or their kids are always around and super helpful. The hotel has organized hikes each day you can do, but they are also right there with helpful suggestions on what hikes would be good for you and appropriate for your age kids.

  Great family hotel

  If you are looking for a great family hotel in this fantastic location, look no further. I spent 10 delightful days in this hotel with my family of 4. We had originally planned 8 days but extended they stay. The rooms we stayed in were absolutely immaculate. The hotel also boasts great facilities, including a spa, a pool and a kids club. The kids club offers many different activities and the staff is very engaged. They also offer a shuttle service upon request which is great for hiking trips with different starting and ending points.I could go on and echo many of the great reviews for this hotel but I want to call out the friendliness of the staff. They pay a lot of attention to detail. It is many small things like remembering the kids' names and their meal preferences but added up these details round up a stay in this family-run hotel to a great holiday experience.
