    Good hotel , friendly staff

    We stayed for one night as we should have been attending a wedding in the area ( postponed due to Covid restrictions) We decided to use the rooms anyway and had a really relaxing break . The hotel was set up well to deal with Covid rules and we felt safe for our entire stay . Plenty of hand sanitiser at various locations where you had to touch doors etc . The rooms were spotlessly clean . The restaurant wasnt open due to low numbers of guests , but food was available in the bar area and we were really happy with the reduced menu and service . The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble . James on reception was particularly friendly and helpful . We had a room with a good size balcony . It was lovely sitting outside with a bottle of fizz relaxing . Slight noise outdoors of the motorway , but you couldnt hear it from inside the room . The balcony room had a small fridge with complimentary bottles of water and chocolate which was a nice touch . The hotel has an indoor pool and gym . We will definitely return next time we need to stay in the area .

    Great place covid aware

    Stayed over for 1 night as unable to stay home, hotel was spotless staff tery helpful. Room ordering was a great service. Checked in without issue IHG gold member so very slick. All staff very helpful and happy. Covid 19 social distancing and measures all in place. Very re assuring in these uncertain times. Stay safe

    Rude staff member

    Only just got a chance to write a review of my stay last month. Stayed with the hotel which was great but had a very rude member of staff speak to us with a very bad attitude. Her name was Louise I think and she should not be working for a brand such as ihg with her bad attitude and awful customer service. She really needs to be trained on how paying guests should be spoken to. I was appalled as was my wife and we will not be staying here again under any circumstances

    Excellent Hotel and Staff

    I have stayed here several times on business and always found the hotel and staff very welcoming. Check in was fast and efficient. Room was nice but way too HOT!! There was no way to turn the temperature down other then to turn off the radiators and open windows. Room was nice and clean with good facilities however, please change the sparkly shower gel! Not really any good for a man to be fair. Overall hotel was excellent and breakfast was superb! Excellent work by the whole team during these difficult lockdown times..

    Worse customer service in hospitality industry in this hotel branch

    Very poor customer service I have been staying in various Holiday Inn since last 5 years. But this branch has been the worse and most rude customer service I have ever experienced in any hotel or hospitality industry. If you question the quality of service or food, the manger come out highly rude starts shouting and become abusive as well tells this is best they can do. I have not seen such behaviour with customers even in third class b&b and do not expect from Holiday Inn hotel.
