  good stay for business trip

  i stayed there for only one night on a business trip. the room loft was renew. love the bath. clean and clam. the service was excellent especially when the desk provide with system to start my after a major cold in the night.

  Hotel Esker in Amos Quebec

  It's not bad actually. It's clean and the room size is good: queen bed, desk, fridge, coffee maker, 2 chairs. I was on the main floor in front of the parking lot. It's not as sound proof though. I didn't expect a lot going in this hotel. You cannot compare hotels in big cities. Amos is small town. The grout in the tub was not as clean..

  Didn't stay-got charged

  I want everyone to know that the hotel WILL CHARGE YOU 1 night stay if you cancel, regardless of the booking sites policy. Not cool. Not clearly displayed anywhere. If there's a chance your travel plans will change, don't book here. That's a shady way to make money at traveler's expense.

  not worth the price, unusable internet connection

  This hotel is not really bad, the room is well-cleaned everyday, it is quite spacious and the furniture is older, but cleaned. The problem is the price, that is quite high for such a simple hotel in the middle of nothing. The internet connection works, but there is some kind of blocking filter that doesn't permit you to see a lot of normal web pages - seems more like Saudi Arabia than Canada... The restaurant is not good, just average, and the wine cellar they promote on hotel's web offers wine, that are overpriced (compared to Europe or Toronto), not good, and if you want to do the claim because you bought a bad wine, they do not accept. Plus, for each bottle they charge you 10 Dollars extra just like that (a kind of tax?) Some of hotel staff are kind, but some of restaurant staff are very rude.

  Stay away if you are a none-smoker

  The Hotel des Eskers in Amos was quite strange. Amenities are really good comfortable beds and mattresses, nice bathroom and all the normal equipment. However, the structure is more of a motel with thin walls and a terrace running from end to end of the building. Rooms were supposed to be non-smoking. They even take a deposit of $150 in case you smoke. Yet everyone was smoking on the terrace with their doors open, so the smoke inevitably penetrated in our room. Not only couldnt we open the door to our part of the terrace, but we as non-smokers had a hard time breathing in our room.
