  Llegas a este hotel y parece un establecimiento de categoría. Nos dieron una habitación muy grande, pero el baño dejaba mucho que desear. El colchón incómodo, aunque la cama era enorme. La habitación tenía un olor a alcanfor insoportable. El desayuno muy enfocado a comida local.

  Value for money

  Located in the heart of the city ,the property is completely a value for money , front end staff is helpful , quick check in and check out - Rooms are clean and tidy ! Food is good , however the room service is slow and can be improved.

  Bring your earplugs

  At all times the hotel staff were courteous and helpful arranging extra nights for my friends and resolving even the most minor issues promptly. However, during my 4 night stay in this relatively clean and well equipped hotel there were multiple large groups and wedding events. Every night was disturbed with music, slamming doors, children running in the corridors, television and an all night party in the adjacent room.

  VERY POOR MANAGEMENT

  Our experience with Gateway Grandeur has been extremely POOR. We booked the rooftop part of the Hotel for Marriage party on December'19 and paid advance for it. But, hotel management gave it away to some other party and informed us about the change on November 2nd week. The Hotel management is very unreliable and irresponsible to do such things for a critical event like marriage at the eleventh hour. Our entire family is upset with hotel and want to alert others not to trust Gateway grandeur management ever. WE WILL NEVER BOOK or RECOMMEND others for hosting any event there.

  Alumni Meet at the Roof Top

  I organized the alumni meet of the school I lead, St. Vivekananda English Academy, Maligaon, Guwahati as a part of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the school. The venue for the meet was the roof top of this hotel. Decorated in the black and red theme, the staff of Gateway Grandeur presented us with a beautiful decor. While I sat with the Food & Beverage Manager of the hotel, Mr Mrinal Hazarika to decide the menu before the party, the dishes suggested by him took me by surprise. I was rather wary of trying the unheard of dishes. Chicken with chana dal was something I wanted Mr Mrinal to replace. "Mam, you try it out. I am sure you will like it", suggested Mr Mrinal sounding extremely confident. We enjoyed the evening with sumptuous snacks and awesome dishes cooked to perfection by the new Chef of the hotel. The global experience and exposure (he was working in Los Angelo's prior to returning to his roots) that this young Chef has reflected in the dishes. From the Jamaican styled chicken starter to the whole fish in oyster sauce and the chocolate brownie, all the dishes just did wonders to our taste buds. Thanks to the entire staff of HGG for planning and executing our Alumni Meet to perfection.
