    Relaxing time?

The hotel is in beautiful place and the view in amazing, but the hotelrooms are tiny and needs upplift. The pool area is nice and the breakfast includes lots of variety. The young employees are very polite and helpful. The olders I suggest some lessons of customer service. Most of the rooms are connecting to each others and include door between rooms. Also balcony is nearly common with next room. The walls are very thin....

    Peaceful beach hotel

This special find is worth the challenge of finding ! Portonovo hardly appears on the maps. About 3 hours south of Venice on the eat coast this area is a mass of gorgeously unsoiled beaches and national parks. The hotel is set high above the coast surrounded by its own park. Amazing views from the dining terrace are a feature plus charming service, good food and reasonable prices. A must when in the way to Puglia!!

    So bad, it's funny

This hotel is as funny as it's bad. We arived to the hotel and I hurt my foot at the entrence and felt down om the floor, they just looked at me like an idiot and did not help me, even since they could se I was hurt. When I tryed to order vegetarian food the told thay had no vegetarian food, even snice I saw they har a vegetarian pizza. After almost half an hour, they came with a plate of totaly tasteless tomatos and an old bread. My housband got a bad pasta with ham, and when it was time to pay, they asked us to pay inside, even that they had a wireless credit card terminal. I don't think this is the staffs fault, it's just a lack of education. The room is totaly okey, with a comfy bed and aircondition. The balcony is placed just in front of an very high, ugly wall of rock. The toilet seat is making a terrible high nois like it's screaming "take me from this terrible place!!" and when I was laughing for myself, I was actualy thinking the same thing..

Okey hotel, okey location totally bad food & staff

Staff is not serviceminded at all, and it shows that they all hate their job. Its probably not their fault, its just lack of guidance from the management. The food is not even good for dogs. Check in was totally chaos. Breakfast can best be described as 'faulty towers' (exept the funny parts). Had to ask 2 waitresses for a napkin that took them five minutes to find. The toilet was broken. If I had the choise again I would rather spend the money om whiskey and sleep in the car.

    Hotel very good, restaurant disappointing

My son and I booked our holiday through Inghams Lakes and Mountains and we stayed at the Hotel Internazionale for 4 nights. The room allocated to us was fabulous, very spacious, open plan and clean. There was a moving partition to separate the bathroom/shower area for privacy and it was decorated with lovely Italian tiles. It pays to have a lake view with balcony as rooms at the rear look onto a stony rock face! I read other Tripadvisor reviews before departure and I agree wholeheartedly with reports of the bad food in the restaurant, with it not being up to standard. There is confusion on first arrival as no waiter welcomes you to advise where to sit or what to do, even though it would be easy enough as guests are allocated named tables. The breakfast buffet has rock hard inedible rolls, tinned fruit, no toast for the fried eggs served and no other hot choice of bacon or sausage. There is a good selection of ham and cheese and cake. In the evening the salad bar is good but the food is again of disappointing quality and one evening we had turkey which was simply turkey roll with a blob of gravy on top and a couple of slices of potato. The pasta and fish dishes were okay but nothing to write home about. Desserts are not a feature of the meal, so we only had Carte D'or scoops of ice cream (laughable when you are in Italy!) or a blancmange! Service was extremely slow and you had to pay for drinks upfront and could not put them on your room number. I asked the reason for this and was told that the restaurant is separate to the hotel, so this explains a lot. In my opinion the hotel is worth its star rating but the restaurant sadly is not. The town of Torri Del Benaco is lovely and it's an easy 20 minute walk along the lake path, market day is Monday with lots of stalls. We also had a super boat trip to Sirmione (Tuesdays) which you can book at hotel reception. I recommend eating at the friendly Bar David in the town and going for an after dinner drink at the bar 200 yards to the left going out of the hotel.
