  Short europe trip

  Grest hotel with good locstion closed to centre. We were there just during one night but we were satisfied. Room was perfect and clean. Breakfast was amazing with amazing view on sea. It is great as well that hotel has privat beach whitch is very closed to hotel.88

  Very nice location

  The hotel has a very nice location.t has a nice view of the lake. There is beach bar near the lake and also there are sunbaths and you can swim at the lake.You can take towels from the beach bar.There is a parking place for the cars.

  Old Hotel with good location

  The property itself is old and definitely needs some major work to be done. My room had an old carpet, horrible illumination, etc. The way the hotel is run is very very old fashion (as opposed to the hotel's beach club, which is quite fancy and new). Location is good, as you get free and direct access to the lake, a small port and can easily walk to the centre of Velden in 5 minutes.

  It's all about location and views!

  My friend and I chose this hotel because we were recommended the beach club (SOL BEACH CLUB) that belongs to it and thought it would be easiest just to stay at the hotel to get max enjoyment out of the Beach Club. We were right! While the hotel is slightly dated we were very pleased with our room that had all carpet replaced with vinyl plank flooring and renovated bathrooms and front view of the lake. Actually our view was slightly obstructed by tall trees but we saw enough of the lake to keep us happy. Everything was very clean and all staff extremely friendly. They have a wonderful winter garden like dining room with a large terrace overlooking the lake and a good breakfast buffet with even an omelette station. The catch is the lake access. The hotel offers a very large terrace with chaises and umbrellas for its guests but we were there during extremely hot days and named it the grilling terrace. You also had to walk down some serious stairs to the lake. The other option is a much smaller terrace lake level but we named that shady terrace. Both of them no good options for us but since our main reason to stay at the hotel was the ritzy beach club we used it which means extra cost for the super fancy chairs. In exchange they served great food and drinks there and gave you a vacation feeling with many potted palm trees. For us it was ok, we were informed travelers and budgeted that in.

  Urgent investment / maintenance wirk required

  This hotel might have been good about 20 years ago, but now its fr from it. Everything is old and broken. Wherever you look there is stains, dirt, or broken things. The carpets in the corridors are disgusting. The pool area is a sad story not looked after at all. Even if the owners do not want to invest, there are plenty of things that can be done to enhance customers experience free of charge, so I urge them to do so.
